Iron Banner not for <300
My primary weapons are useless.
I am doing ok, but only with shotguns, grenades and Supers.
Was trying to use a 293 Scout Rifle which is very good in crucible, and an auto rifle haven't won a single shoot out.
You would think the difference between 300 and 290 is only about 3%, and isn't that big a deal in PVE, but apparently in Iron Banner it's a massive difference.

Stayed positive more games than not with many games in the 2.5-6.0 range. That was with my lower level gear so I could use pulse loader arms and rocket boots, leaving me 291 or 292 overall.

You are kidding right. Outside of playing my hunter after a "few" beverages after football today and getting shellacked I ran a Titan and hunter at 290 and did pretty decent. I'm not really seeing much if any difference TBH. Oh and the drops suck

a 20 light difference is only 4% less damage in IB, 70 light difference is 15% less damage. i think your issue isnt the slightly lower light, but that the try hards, glitchers, neckbeards, and laggers are out in force.

When I shoulder charge an enemy from behind with 303 light vs my 297 and they live to shotgun me in the face :( [spoiler]Finally beat Oryx, so 299 light now[/spoiler]

I'm 297..., Iron Banner and Crucible are not fun! And so it seems Bungie wanted me and a whole lot of other people to buy this 'game' so we can just be 'bullet magnets' for a select few....

I did pretty decent at 295-296. Had a few completely abysmal matches but also a few where I came out on top of both teams.

Majority of the games I have played the person on top was in the 284-287 range

I've been doing ok at 297. Been using a 296 Monte.

I can get 299 but use a 293 setup and average 16-9 record every game

292 light 296 Hawksaw Got top score twice last night, near the top on most of my other games. Also scored a Cycle medal and several Machine Lords... I wish those still mattered in IB. TL;DR: Argument invalidated

I'm was doing it at 297 light yesterday with a Monte Carlo and sniper and was routinely finishing in the top two. And for all you who blame it on me using sunbreaker, I was using striker.

I'm doing tons better than I ever have in PvP using the raid auto rifle at 310. Actually managed to get my first positive game ever last night, a 1.0 k/d. My average is like 0.3 or 0.4. I know I'm not paying better than any other time I've been in PvP so I am thinking it is definitely the 310 attack on the gun.

4 RepliesIf you haven't noticed pvp has just been a pulse rifle fest since the last weapon patch. You won't win shootouts with auto rifles because they're trash, only handcannon worth using is hawk moon for the chance of a two shot kill. Scout rifles still lose to pulse rifles because of the TTK. Every weapon type (besides scouts) has had they're reign of terror, right it's pulse rifles. Find yourself a nice pulse and you'll turn your luck around in pvp, night and day difference.

Honestly it feels like a regular control game. I don't see the difference between control crucible and Iron Banner crucible.
