Losing interest fast. Anyone else?
I've tried. Honestly I have but I just feel my interest in the game slipping away. It was kinda fun at first, but I just can't seem to stay interested in this game anymore. I admit I've never been one much for FPS games. I've always been an RPGer at heart. I love leveling up my character and the kind of grind that a good 80-100 hour content game brings. However, the payoff just isn't the same in Destiny. I feel like I'm just wasting my time. There's no real story. Every time I turn around there's more and more frustration things about the game.
Am I alone? Are there any other players out there that are starting to feel like Destiny is just a waste of time?
I'm not sure I will be a player much longer when the idea of taking a long walk sounds more exciting than spending another hour of my life playing this game.

I mostly enjoy playing this game to play with my friends, they leave, I'll leave. Same deal with wow, try to make some friends or move on imo!

I think this game will be my last game i will invest alot of time in I'm missing playing games that have a end an then you move on you pay for the content you consume it then you move on.

I lost interest as soon as I got my membership card to the Forever-29 club, but I still play... just not with the regularity or frequency that I used to, and there's nothing compelling me to do any endgame stuff anymore. I agree w/ everything you're saying - especially that Destiny is just a waste of time... just sometimes a mindless time-waster is really all I want. To be honest, I've had a lot more fun playing Destiny when I only play a couple times a week.

How can you be bored or out of stuff to do? 2205, 12,000 medal and not even one level 40? I don't think your opinion is really going to matter to anyone who has actually played.

One reason on why Destiny is boring to me are the drops. I work so hard on a mission and I get a crappy weapon that I don't need. I'm mainly talking about Nightfall. Nightfall is hard for me and when I complete it, I get crap. Such a waste of time.

Granted you don't partake in any endgame activity, I wouldn't blame you. This game is all about the endgame activities and if you are not doing those, then you might as well go take a long walk.

2 RepliesYou have to play with a group of regular people. This is not a adventure game like Skyrim etc. This is a loot driven game, in other words grind your ass off or quit. It quickly becomes fun to do everything if you have a group to play PVP with, or raids and other PVE content. Compare it with playing other loot driven games like World of Warcraft, its mind-numbing boring. The grind to max level in WOW is madness. Text stories/chats you never read, long travel times for the simplest things, insane grind to get anything you need, level up item level.. etc.. But then. If you have a group its suddenly very fun to do all these things.. Raids is the experience you grind for, the same counts for destiny pve.

I feel the same op, the story line is brill in the TTK but everything else feels very weak , if you don't want to grind weekly or vanguard strikes then there's not much else to do, my friends list is starting to get empty like it was before TTK I have 3 character around 295 light so grinding strikes is becoming pointless now. And finding a good raid team is very hard when I've not even done the raid myself. It's a shame there's no other good fps games out there to turn my attention to
