I've tried. Honestly I have but I just feel my interest in the game slipping away. It was kinda fun at first, but I just can't seem to stay interested in this game anymore. I admit I've never been one much for FPS games. I've always been an RPGer at heart. I love leveling up my character and the kind of grind that a good 80-100 hour content game brings. However, the payoff just isn't the same in Destiny. I feel like I'm just wasting my time. There's no real story. Every time I turn around there's more and more frustration things about the game.
Am I alone? Are there any other players out there that are starting to feel like Destiny is just a waste of time?
I'm not sure I will be a player much longer when the idea of taking a long walk sounds more exciting than spending another hour of my life playing this game.

I have been really losing it also... The quest are WAY too time consuming and it is the only way to get most of the good exotics. On top of that when the basement hermits complain about something being too easy they always jump to buff enemies and make things harder and more frustrating to the point it is not worth it. Destiny year 1 will forever be the glory days.

Unless you love the crucible it does end up being pretty pointless in the end

I'm with you... It's the same grind every Dlc. With more shit to distract you to grind for yet again. Yet somehow they seemed to have left the real story of this game in a toilet somewhere. Definitely not true Rpg material dude. They give you just enough to make you feel like it's rewarding without giving you the real "meat and potatoes" of the game. Therefore just pick up Fallout 4 when it drops... It will be instant satisfaction from an Rpg standpoint.

The thing I like the most about Destiny is the challenging gameplay. The raids are the best co-op experience I've played. The PvP is fun and now questlines give me something to work at in patrol, missions and strikes. I've discussed this with friends and it just really depends what you want from a game. Some people find story the most important part to a game and if that's the case Destiny won't deliver.

My advice is to level up one character at a time, get your favorite guy to about 290 something light before thinking about your other guys.
-
No, but will be playing Fallout 4 when it comes out.

3 characters, none level 40, 2200 grimoire, how are you even allowed to make a post on the forums?
-
Hi, happy to help out if you want to do bounties, daily and weekly. liskmarth is the gt. Gmt

Farming the raid for rolls. Getting weapons to play with. Fun times in between. And trials is almost upon us. Iron banner too I suppose. Should be more fun than a room full of thorns.
-
How can you be bored of something you haven't even played yet?
-
You havent even beat the story.......
-
Destiny for me is almost a purely social game. I still have fun doing raids and collecting and comparing different gear. If I have no friends on I'll play metal gear. And soon fallout.
-
I'm with you on that. Once you finish the story, the raid, the strikes and get all the guns, there really isn't much for mid level gamers like us to keep us interested. To keep it engaging, you kinda have to be one of the elitists who lives and breathes destiny. Do what I do and take it slow. I'm only 250 light and have yet to do the Oryx raid yet, so there are still some surprises to be had for me while others are desperately waiting for the next DLC, all while they keep themselves feeling special with trials of Osiris and Iron Banner winnings.

1 ReplyMost people are probably losing interest because they have every exotic in the game and is now getting bored because they cheesed the game.
-
1 ReplyYou haven't even hit level 40 yet
-
There is just a lot of boring as grind like hadium flake bullshit and rare sword material crap. I just wanna get good loot and play crucible... Cant wait for trials
-
I am. Mainly due to raid drops. It's utter trash.

3 RepliesI quit for almost three months. Started up again after TTK was release. I love to play solo, but even some of the missions in TTK are multiplayer only, like Fears Embrace and the First Firewall. They are just too hard for most players to solo. I'm glad Fallout is coming soon!

Edited by Elwyindar: 10/8/2015 5:40:25 AMYupp, everytime I think of going on I can think of other things more entertaining to do.

Is your moms bedroom door open? Left my keys lol my bad
-
There isn't really much else to do. Besides get all the weapons but that doesn't change the game
-
Good thing fallout is almost here.
-
If you're playing this game as an rpg... Then....

Edited by Kuromugi: 10/8/2015 3:38:53 AMI believe I burned myself out hardcore when the game first released, I took a 6 month break shortly after TDB launched and came back when TTK launched. Things seem new and fun again. Not saying it needs to be 6 months. But a break can help. Besides, fallout 4 and battlefront come out next month.

Maybe take a break, don't play that much, or play a variety of games. There also tons of awesome games coming out! Good luck at whatever you decide doing.
