Is it just me or is this a waste of money? Even though they are selling this stuff as a digital download now, it's 20$? That's half the price of the game! You want to charge me 40$ for the game which includes new content, weapons, gear, levels, extras, etc. (kind of a lot to begin with but I'm still buying) and then tell me that I have to pay 20$ for 3 emotes that no one will use if they are playing by themselves and 3 emblems that will become obsolete in the future? No. I feel I've been ripped off a little. I think they should be sold separately for 5$ each (e.g. 3 emblems=5$), maybe a little more for the emblems. I guess I won't be buying the digital download.

1 ReplyEdited by Elite-Hunter_17: 9/1/2015 8:22:45 PMI can only imagine the amount of smart remarks that went along the lines of, "No one is forcing you to buy it! It's purely cosmetic, so it's not like you're missing out! Just stop complaining, and throw your money at the screen already! D:<" Lmao!
-
The sad part (other than these items not being free to year 1 players) is that people will buy it. Basically proving Luke Smith's comment of throwing, money. He's done a good job guiding the sheep actually.

1 ReplyEdited by cstar3871: 9/1/2015 8:37:57 PMDon't buy it then. If they see there isn't enough interest at this price point - they'll drop it for similar offerings in the future (or scrap it all together). If there is enough take up, expect more of the same. At the end of the day, that's how this works.
-
2 RepliesIt's an option so you don't have to buy it. They could have just said no.
-
1 ReplyCan you buy TTK separately?
-
It was nothing more then a slap in the face. All the complaints about the way they packaged the new editions. Bungie's response was, ok we hear you, we will make it a digital download so no one feels excluded. 20 dollars and it's yours. Vanilla Destiny is 29 at Walmart, and TTK is 40. Can't think of a bigger FU move.

6 RepliesEdited by St0ckbr0ck3r_: 8/31/2015 10:24:13 PMIt is overpriced. If you look at previous micro transactions on other ps4/ Xbox games. (Ex: A gun camo or new character unlock on call of duty is like 1.99-3.99 each) . 20 bucks is retarded for a couple extra perks. But some people will pay anything for any destiny stuff. In my opinion. A 40 dollar dlc isn't bad... Even though ppl will debate it with me. But 20 bucks for a couple extra features that don't progress or help you further expand your adventure... Fk off bungie.
-
If you think it's a waste of money then it is, to you. Others will think nothing of spending $20 on a couple on game items that they really want to have.

3 RepliesHave you ever played tf2

1 ReplyIf I play pvp and see someone dance with the new dance I know who paid wayyy too much money. I would make fun of them for it
-
Yes it is too expensive and definitely not worth it. But plenty of people will buy it anyway. Bungie has no incentive to lower the price to something reasonable.
-
6 RepliesI was under the impression that Bungie had changed their stance, and are including those cosmetic items with any standard purchase of TTK, as long as the purchaser is a year one player.
-
Edited by Kone19ps: 9/1/2015 1:49:01 PMIt's still technically just the recommended market price. If no one buys it it should drop. Personally I view it as a demerit if I saw them. Congrats you paid more pointlessly. I feel like not many will use them if the vets are salty enough and make them a badge of distain. Hopefully the community is a little better than that
-
While I am stupid anough to buy TTK due to some hope bungie can fix destiny, I will not be paying £20 for some lame emotes.....seriously wtf bungie for that kind of price you'd expect the emotes to activate god mode or something.
-
1 ReplyLet's not buy them, and point and laugh at everyone who did. Haha, you paid the amount of the entire Dark Below for that.
-
12 RepliesI'm still buying the $80 digital content package even though I have Destiny and the two DLCs. It cost money but hey, Destiny is fun.
-
At the end of the strike I really like hitting the dance button. It's like, yay we survived you know? But my Titan is a female exo and her dance moves seriously blow. My boyfriend is getting this special content. I am not. If he's using it and they're awesome I like that I've got the ability to buy them. 20$ buys breakfast for three days. 20$ on a few fun little things in a game would last for as long as I played the game. And seeing as it'll last me more than three days... Well if they look cool I'm in. It's not like I won't use them.
-
That content was only meant for ttk collectors edition owners only, but people complained and now you can buy it without the collectors, of course their gonna jack that price
-
12 RepliesOh my god, why are people still whining about this? Don't like it, don't buy it. It's a financial decision to "be fair to year one players" without spending an extra $20 on top of it. It sucks, we get it. It's been beaten to death for weeks now. Who cares? All these stupid financial posts are getting annoying.
-
I better not have to buy the sparklepony shader. Only one I would spring for. :)

3 RepliesYeah and gta 5 has you spending 20 bucks on shark cards ..fake money to buy cars ,apartments and clothes .. So what's the difference .. I know people that have 30 cars and three apartments .. And they didn't get it all that from just playing the game
-
9 RepliesI go to lunch for $20. Big deal. My daughter made me spend more for a horse and a dress for my neverwinter character.
-
What you don't understand, and I am not defending Bungie's lowlife tactics here, is that time is money. These exotic mark, bond and cloak give you permanent xp boost. In a game where grind is a chore, I see why Bungie priced these items $20. Now I agree with you on the shameful pricing.
-
They have discussed future content for legendary edition players. I hope it makes up for this.
-
It's a waste of cash. These items are not worth more than $5 tops in my opinion.
