BLINK IN PVP
What a dumb thing to have in PvP. How can I kill someone when they are disappearing every other second. Then i stick them with a grenade and they blink out of it. That seems fair right, since i'm one of the few players that isn't using cheep grenades like arc blot and axion bolt. The worst thing about it is that you get a team full of last word blinkers and they think they're so good when they use the most op things in the game. BLINK = Scrub, LAST WORD= noob who cant get kills any other way.

11 RepliesBlink is fine, but the crybabies got it nerfed. It has plenty of drawbacks as it is. The players who want it nerfed, either only play Titan, or simply can grasp blink and fail to use it properly.

Everything in the game is seen as cheap by some person. It's not like you're at a disadvantage. Warlocks and hunters have blink, titans have shoulder charge. Shoulder charge is practically blink, but it also one hit kills you.

I definitely think its a valid ability on paper to get out of certain situations, as a gap closer, etc.; however, the reason it's a broken ability is because it can essentially be spammed and render a player invulnerable a significant amount of time. In my experience, a lot of the issue is actually with map design; the maps in this game are all so small as it is, high ceilings or a lack of a ceiling there of, just work too perfectly with blink. Areas where blink spamming is rendered far less effective are few and far between in Destiny. These are areas that often are longer and more open (many of the areas in burning shrine for example) or have low ceiling heights where players will appear in almost the exact spot they initiated blink. The most effective thing to do would most likely be to have a longer cool down time between blinks, so that players would have to use each blink more wisely, instead of essentially being able to constantly spam it.

I use blink only to get out of sticky situations. I don't think the nerf will affect my use of it much.

1 ReplyWhile I understand them nerfing it in PvP I think it is kind of annoying that PvE suffers from it. Now all the warlocks and hunters will just use the jump that is the highest and leave blink alone.

2 RepliesWhile it's annoying, it is possible to deal with blink easily. It does need a little adjusting (blinking out of grenades is overpowered).

I use blink defensively and it's a life saver. You don't need to blink shotgun with it. Plus actually getting the right timing down where ever you are blinking to sucks sometimes and can cause disorientation.
