Lol I find it humorous that not only are they just just going to re-skin all of the enemies and put this as new content, but now they are saying they are going to put these Taken into the old strikes. Is this really a selling point? So now I can run Cerebus Vae (sp?), but I might get to fight a Blue-ish Ogre instead of Rockets McDickface? How does this even remotely line up with the "story"?
Bungie just never ceases to amaze me.
Edit: I shouldn't have included the bit about fitting in with the story. I honestly could not care less about the story, I am just tired of re-skinned content that Bungie spins off as "new".
Edit#2: What I think would have been a great way to implement this would be to have the Taken randomly show up and attack while you are doing vanilla strikes a few weeks before the expansion. This would be a great way to implement something new into the strikes and signify that the Taken are coming, thus building hype. I don't like the idea that it is a selling point.

1 ReplyThe enemy models might be the same, but they have different abilities, which means they will have different gameplay than the previous versions of these characters. When it looks like a duck, doesn't quack like a duck, can split itself into two enemies, and throw out what looks like a dark bubble shield, it's probably not a duck.

What they're doing is anything the platstaion exclusives to the Xbox systems. They're updating them with the taken while they're at it, what's the problem with that? And for the playstation people, they will have another version of a few strikes That they'd played 100s of times. They'll also have a few more strikes in rotation. I don't see what the problem is, all they're doing is giving us more content.

The stupid is high with this one
-
Got to keep the game fresh somehow buddy. I welcome any change. I hope they make it where the enemy spawns in diffrent spots or as you run around that corner that use to have nothing all of sudden there is a horde there. I have no problem with that!
-
1 ReplyBungie are the kings of doing the same things backwards. Remember all the Flood levels in Halo where you run the previous level backwards and with Flood? No one complained then!
-
1 ReplyLol omg shut up you wanker, it might turn out to be fun if you quit your blubbering for a while.
-
14 RepliesYou guys will literally complain about anything.
-
Its completly different lol dumbass
-
They are doing the strikes that are PS4 exclusives. When they are released for Xbox, then this harder version will be available for both ps4 and Xbox.
-
Maybe you should wait until you actually play the strike, then you can form your conclusions.
-
So they're going to change up existing stuff for a bit more diversity and you're not happy about it. Did I get that right?
-
1 ReplyI hope they reimagine some actual glimmer into the undying mind. Waves of enemies that aren't real smh.
-
I agree

11 RepliesEdited by britishninja99: 7/3/2015 1:17:35 PMAm I the only one here who realizes that there will also be new strikes? Because it seems like this thread is just full of people who thinks that they're only adding new enemies to old strikes and calling it a new strike. (Which isn't what they're doing btw) they're simply adding new elements to old content. Trying to give it some replay value when we've already done them all a thousand times.
-
It's not noticeable
-
Huh. I was thinking reimagined meant we'd be running the strikes backwards.

Edited by I FARMER l: 7/3/2015 12:56:50 PM
Lol I find it humorous that not only are they just just going to re-skin all of the enemies .
So they leave the base silhouette of the enemies but add different animations, colors, weapons, and abilities and you think that's a reskin? Lol I find it humorous how dumb you are.

It's "Recycled with a Twist" Hey Bungie, I'm not buying TTK!
-
2 RepliesI swear sometimes that this game is some kind of -blam!-ed up corporate social experiment to see how long people will keep paying for re-usable content.
I may or may not be wearing a tin foil hat.
14 RepliesCan't we all just wait and see what "re-imagined" entails before complaining about it? It seems to me like they're finally starting to fulfill the potential of this game, and that excites me and should excite every other sensible player. Is it possible for you to just wait and see or even wait and play the new versions of these strikes before ranting about something(s) you have heard next to nothing about? I still have faith in this company. I fell in love with the guys that made Halo. Maybe they haven't fully lost their mojo. Or maybe they're starting to get it back. Food for thought.

2 RepliesThey're adding a bunch of new strikes to this is just something else in addition to that they're adding
-
1 Reply
new weapons and abilities
So they fight differently, look different, have different animations, do new things, are actually unique- BUT THEY HAVE THE SAME MODEL SO NOTHINGS NEW!!!!!!11!!!1!!!!!

With regards to your Edit2... That is exactly how it's going to work, in the ViDoc during E3 one of the games designers, Luke Smith maybe? stated exactly that. Something along the lines of 'you can be playing a strike you know well when all of a sudden these taken enemies just show up and reek havoc'
-
People always complaining smh
-
I'm taking a wait and see approach. Theirs of lots of talk that TTK is basically a mullgen on destiny. Encouraging news has come from more than one review site
-
You realise there will probably be new strikes as well right? It's just reskinning old strikes... They are doing both...
