Have 10x5000 xp bounties ready on three charachters. On each one pop a telemitrie, do daily, then hand in bounties. This should give you around 75000xp per charachter and level up your weopon in atleast two days if not one if you play crucible aswell

What I do is..do all the bounties I can first ..go to tower use a telemantary for that weapon and turn in bounties..then switch gun to another character and do the same ..also daily missions at Lvl 30give you 7500xp

Nightfall, bounties, daily, just before finishing daily consume telemetry, turn in all bounties. Bingo.

This is the way I do it. It's called the Handoff Method. Complete as many bounties on one character between Eris and Tracker as you possibly can do. Try your hardest to get, and complete, as many as possible. Complete a Public Event that day, too. If possible (most days it won't be), rank up a faction to past 3 or higher to get a package. Equip the weapons you want to level. Apply homologous Telemetries to further boost leveling. Turn in all the bounties and open all the packages. Once you're done Upgrading what came out of that round, time to put everything in the vault and pass off to the second character. Rinse and repeat. Place in vault. Third character. Rinse and repeat. If you can, after all this is done, do the daily mission (and the Weekly and Nightfall if not completed yet that week), and equip the weapon and consume the telemetry right as you're about to finish the level. This will help a lot, too. I have literally gotten a weapon from a Raid one day and had it fully leveled within the next day due to this method. I keep Telemetries from past Xur inventories, so that I have the correct one to level whatever weapon I'm trying to level.

Using guns to level them is painfully slow to me. I just run bounties in on guns I want to level and use them when they're done being upgraded. You can use telemetries to speed that up.
