I see a lot of people complaining and they think Xur should sell it. The fact is he already sold it and you had your chance. However a few people do deserve to have it sold to them of they have a proper excuse.
Examples of INVALID excuses.
"I didn't know how good it was"
Ignorance will not hold up in a court of law. It's like saying I didn't know what the speed limit was while you do 80.
"I didn't have the strange coins then"
Laziness is also not an excuse. I didn't feel like grinding and getting the coins is akin to saying I didn't feel like stopping at that stop sign, good luck explaining that to a judge.
"I didn't have the game then (didn't have money"
When you have to pay your tickets in court not having funds will not excuse you from your financial duties. Get a job and pay them off.
An example of a VALID excuse would be..
"I was in the hospital that weekend for surgery"
If you have a doctor's note this would be a perfectly fine excuse.
So what's your excuse as to why you deserve a second chance?

3 RepliesThis thread is stupid. You Americans crack me up.

I wasn't here when he sold it and I've got 600 hours of playtime. I think I've earned one
-
Sounds like something that should have been posted the week AFTER Gjallarhorn was sold.

Christmas noob

I literally had no interest in destiny when it first arrived, I hadn't been actively interested in video games for a while, just played a little CoD and Titanfall. My wife got it for me for my birthday in October (after the first time gjallarhorn sold). She probably chalks that up to the worst mistake of her life.

Been here since beta and didn't have any friends that played. For like the first month I didn't know who or what Xur was, didn't know what a strange coin was or did. I really had no idea what I was doing except killing aliens and I was cool with that. I don't think I even attempted a raid until I was a couple months into the game so I really missed out on alot.
-
2 RepliesAlso, please upload any medical documentation that you are claiming as an excuse so we can validate
-
It wasn't possible to purchase it at the time for my character. Incidentally, some of your statements regarding validity of excuses are not factually correct, and are, in point of order, outright fabrications.
-
It wasn't my fault I ran out of gas, I had a flat tire, I didn't have any cab fare, my tux didn't come back from the cleaners, an old friend came from out of town, someone stole my car, an earthquake, a terrible flood, Locusts! I SWEAR IT WASNT MY FAULT!
-
I did not know what xur was Back then when he sold it
-
Because I would rather have other exotics than a heavy launcher. If RNG blesses me with it, so be it.
-
2 RepliesIs "I didn't know xur existed at the time" a valid excuse?
-
Not having enough strange coins isn't a valid excuse? I already own a Gjallarhorn, but this is a very one-sided question. If you're comparing this to a case in the court of law, you're already prosecuting the defendant before they even have a chance to defend themselves.

Lol a doctors note 10/8 m8

Thought that I would never use a rocket
-
Never go full retard

Destiny is not a court of law. It's plagued with enough dicks without some wannabe lawyer telling people they're stupid for not buying the best gun in the game when noone had a clue what it was.
-
Well, that was a pretentious OP. It was week 2, and I didn't have enough playtime to even get to level 20 (Internet went out for 3 days after release, and classes had just started, so my work schedule didn't quite line up yet to allow significant playtime). Even then, the only way to get that many coins with 1 character was the loot cave.
-
3 RepliesStupid post, any reason is valid at week 2. I didn't even know what Xur was then.
-
Most people didn't even have a level 20 plus character 2 weeks in let alone enough coins to spend
-
1 ReplyBecause mom doesn't allow me to play on weekends..
-
Lmao wtf who are you to judge anyone for not buying gjallarhorn gtfo. You're not my Dad!!!!! Lel
-
I didn't know xur existed until about 4 weeks into the game!
-
I wanted no land beyond
-
I'll stand by my "Oh ...A rocket launcher!?! Pass. I think I'll wait till next week and hopefully get a primary weapon." I wasn't swimming in coins at the time. I'm not proud of that decision now.

Because destiny should be compared to the law. This is stupid. Real life laws don't apply to not purchasing a video game at the right time you absolute freaking walnut.
