There's too much negativity and complaining on the forums these days; so lets all take a moment to reflect on things we actually like about Destiny.
I'll go first:
The skyboxes are beautiful.

The PvE gameplay is solid.

1 ReplyAddictive, having a blast playing it. Isn't that the point?

I quite like the sound track, especially the music during boss fights.

1 ReplyIt's a good game. I don't think it would inspire so many complaints about things like a lack of content if the fundamentals weren't there; it nails shooting about as well as any title. It's also quite beautiful, with a variety of enjoyable weapons to use, and well-designed characters and environments. It performs really well on all consoles, too, with a great fluidity. There are a huge number of small touches that are great. There are a lot of baffling design decisions and omissions in it, but again, that wouldn't matter if the base game left people uninterested.

2 RepliesThe Cabal (and to a lesser extent the other species) are cool and pretty fun to shoot at. The raid looks fun (too bad I can't play it like a lot of us matchmaking players!)

The disc makes a great coaster for when I'm playing good games like Halo and I need a drink

This is a very fun game, I enjoy almost all the content in it and I really seem to not be able to put the controller down. Nights are bleeding into days, everytime I pick the controller up there is something new to level or go out and find. What really gets me is the absolute WEALTH of activities that there are in the game. From just replaying the story to try and grind out a bit of insight on what's going on, to the goddamn endless patrols and their shiny, shiny....so shinnnnn..nnnyyyyy....treasure boxes and materials to the unbelievable scenery and boss fights in the Vault of Glass raid. I have put somewhere like 120 hours in probably and the game feels brand new every time I pick up the remote, a game hasn't done that in a long time for me, especially, ESPECIALLY, an MMO (big or small). Weirdly specific, but the sparrows sound great! Love that engine.

Everything... if people want a story they should read a book.... i personally play games for fun and Destiny provides that in spades. People who buy a game then play it for 12 hours a day or more then complain that they are bored after a week only have themselves to blame... i've only been able to get on for a couple of hours a day (if i'm lucky) so i'm always itching to get back on there as i don't have time to do all that's on offer.

One thing positive about Destiny? Actually I have several: Although I haven't played many FPS or MMO's or whatever you technicals like to call it, Destiny is one of the best games I've played in awhile. To be able to fully customize and personalize your guardian, from the look, to armor, weapons etc, to able to take your own path to become legend, to the rewards you get from kicking ass. The only thing I don't understand is everyone complaining and bitching about the story, the grinding etc. I don't get it. There's going to be plenty more. People started complaining way too early. Bottom line: I love this game and can't wait for more content.
