Exotic bounty & Thorn bounty
I have been reading about people getting
Crazy bounties. Like Exotic and Thorn.
I'm really confused I am a level 25 and
I have never seen anything like this
Where do I go to get those bounties?
Cause it's not the tower

Its completely random. You turn in bounty(s) and the bounty tracker will give you 3 exotic bounties to choose from. I have currently 2 at hand right now, stuck at thorn bounty and the other.. I'll wait for awhile later to do.

This happened to me just a few ours ago I had completed three bounties so I went to the bounty tracker bot after paying in two of them I got to pick one of three bounties all exotic I picked one and then it was a three part bounty in the end I got an exotic shotgun ... Any way I think it's a case of keep doing bounties and this option will come up at some point

2 RepliesGetting exotic bounties is random, they're also a pain in the ass. Today i finished the one for the thorn (pretty meh gun) and got the one for an exotic shogun as well

1 ReplyIt's definitely after you finish a set number of bounties. I would assume it's after you hit lvl 20 as well. Maybe after 50 bounties you get an exotic bounty? Not 100% sure but I've just gotten my second exotic bounty and it seems about right.

You get these bounties by turning in other bounties. There is a small chance you will receive an exotic bounty when you turn in any bounty. It's all luck. Try turning in multiple bounties at once, that's what I did and I got the bounty.

6 RepliesTurn in multiple bounties at a time (2-3) on a daily basis and one will show up eventually. Also rank up your score with a faction or the vanguard to rank 2 just to be safe.

6 RepliesI'm rank 4 Crucible, rank 2 Vanguard and I've done EVERY possible bounty since the game has come out. (Not the Salvage bounties bc for some reason they removed the playlist). I currently have 2 Exotic bounties active. One is set at 25 strikes and the 2nd is to dismantle 10 rare fusion rifles.

I got one yesterday after completing 2 normal bounties. I dont play a ton and do not have rank two in any faction. Not sure what exactly causes it to open.

My assumption is its random like everything else. Got mine with rank 2 vanguard and shortly after hitting rank 1 fwc. Particular bounty was from the vanguard warlock vendor, I could see logic with vanguard rank effecting that. See the smoke, but have yet to spot the fire. RNG ftw

Just continue finishing as many bounties as you can each day and it's a matter of time before the bounty tracker presents you with these exotic ones. Two theories people believe will improve your chances of getting exotic bounties: 1. Exotic bounty will trigger once you've turned in a certain number of regular bounties. In which case, just keep doing daily bounties. 2. In order to get exotic bounties, you have to reach at least level 2 in one of the factions (vanguard, crucible, dead orbit, future war cult, new monarchy). This theory hasn't been proven to be 100% reliable but majority of the people who've gotten these exotic bounties have done so after reaching level 2 in one or more factions. Another theory is that it is pure RNG and has nothing to do with number 1 and 2...
