Is not balanced or skill based. Don't sit here and fanboy and try to explain or make excuses as to why you believe it is any competent player can tell it isn't.
Constructive feed back:
1. Supers have no place in the mp and are the biggest problem, disable them. There is no way to tell when a player is super charged or not. If there were a very clear aesthetic when there super was ready that other players could be aware of it would be somewhat fair but even then for the warlock and myself included, Titan it's just mash bumpers to win. Maybe a gold halo or sparkles around the player when their super is ready?
2. The sniper rifle damage needs to be lowered roughly 20-30% auto aim needs a severe reduction. I was doming head shots with the Gozen with no effort after 3 games. Head shot damage should remain the same.
3. Reduce auto rifle damage 5-10% buff pulse rifle damage at least 20% and reduce recoil slightly.
4. Vehicles for the most part are incredibly broken. Either a sniper takes them out of the vehicle or a super must come up. At the beginning of the game vehicles reign supreme please add heavy weapon ammo at the start of games on vehicle based maps, it would have such a positive impact on gameplay.
5. Net code seems to be intentionally noob friendly, at close quarters it is near impossible not to trade. Often I melee the person shot gunning me and they die as well. Don't even get me started about meleeing each other, it is almost guaranteed that both players die. Kill delays on many things such as snipers can be up to 3 seconds.. I have never seen this in a game before, ever. It's ridiculous.
I do however love the map designs, although moon is over vehicle saturated. The movement mechanics and aiming in this game are some of the best in any FPS I have ever touched hands down.
Edit: For good players please message me if you are interested in joining a competitive scene of players I have started a group called Got Gear looking to raid and be the premiere first raiding guild in Destiny. I used to lead 10 and 25 man WoW raids. If this game does somehow turn around it's MP we are looking to compete in tourneys as well.

I have no problem with the MP the supers are fine I love them even when they are used against me lol. I do have a problem with the warlock gernades. I hate them. I think they are too easy but what can you do. Snipers do get annoying but when someone gets me with one props to them. I get annoyed and just stop standing still. I completely agree with the netcode. It's a huge problem. Killing someone and dying a second after they died can get annoying at times and it's gotten me a kill every once in awhile that I knew was complete bull. The vehicles are very weak against gunfire but otherwise I guess they would be unstoppable. I usually save my special(golden gun) for vehicles and turrets and one or two shot them. It should take a team effort to take down a vehicle though. I've killed a pike with 1 shot from a fusion rifle and I knew that was when it was a problem.

1 ReplyI disagree with pulse rifle recoil.. Why? Because WEAPON stats other than damage carries OVER! the stat you are referring to is stability. If you want less recoil find a better pulse rifle with higher stability.
-
2 RepliesI agree with almost everything here, great points friend. Things I would change in you post: -heavy weapon ammo shouldn't be added at the beginning of a round unless it is a vehicle supporting map. (I also don't think people should be able to share heavy weapon ammo, only one person should get it) -Sniper damage should be reduced but a headshot should still kill in one shot. And turn aim assist waaaaay down! I think that's pretty much it. Great post mate.

Edited by DemonRonin: 7/24/2014 7:48:13 PMDisagree with super. For the fact that this that makes it uniquely destiny. Just add mode where supers are off. You can't try and make whole PVP in to comp PVP ala MLG. cause not every and I mean many players that go into PVP aren't thinking about clan battle format. tho there should be option for it. EDIT: Agree with that AR tho. Don't want to see EVERYONE using it. way too easy to use. Bring up some of the other weapons.

8 RepliesFirst these are your opinions not facts. As these are my opinions. 1. Saying supers don't belong in mp doesn't make sense. It's like saying play CoD without kill streaks. It's a game trademark. And you can usually tell when someone has a super. Takes about 3.5 mins to get on so when the game has been going on that long assume some people have supers primed. And you can tell when people have supers. Golden gun is a burning pistol and you can hear it when it's activated. Nova bomb will cause the player to jump and takes time to start and can be dodged of you have some distance. Same goes for fist of havoc. Just takes a bit of awareness. The game shouldn't have to baby you by having the person glow or something when it's not activated. It's like if your playing CoD you want other people to have indicators above their head that they have kill streaks.

3 RepliesWow, your opinion is really well thought out. With me, its just "me angry, Hulk smash." Never really was good on PvP online games. Growing up, it was mostly just me and my old man. Its true. Humans are the most difficult prey. Also Comcast. *smash-smash-smash*

2 RepliesWhat if vehicles didn't spawn until a minute or two into the match?
-
2 RepliesI didn't even know they was a aim assist in the game, it all makes sense now ...
-
Ditto on the balancing. I'm not sure what it is, but in all the MP games I've played, the scores have been monstrously tipped towards one team or the other. I think I've only played one game where the match was close. Not sure what this might be about though.

1 ReplyI agree aim assist is strong and on vehicle maps needs heavy ammo at start.Net code does need tweaking to battle delayed deaths and hit registration.I could care less about supers just assume everyone super is up after 2mins and try to play smart. The weapons are fine for the most part no need to start nerfing when you can use the weapon yourself. The only weapon that seems under used is the pulse rifle (burst rifle) maybe that needs some type of buff. And to A Stray Bullet If your a titan (Tank)thats your job to jump in the fray with your super (you can't die while in animation)while the squishy warlock super(they can die while in animation)fires from afar

I agree with all of this and I also think the motion sensor is too powerful. Its the only thing you pay attention to to have a good game instead of tactically moving around. I feel it should be changed to only shots showing on radar

Edited by Warlock_Holmez: 7/24/2014 6:02:24 PMGood feedback. I'm loving this game and I want it to be its best. 1. Supers in MP: I have mixed feelings on this. I think supers are fun and deserve to be in multiplayer BUT I think the "insta kill" is too much. Even if they were lowered to dealing 75% of a players max health, they would still be tons of fun. Maybe add a slight knockback. Also, they are a great anti-vehicle. (beyond satisfying) 2. They are strong but I think that's okay. They haven't been my worst enemy. Choosing a sniper means you'll be really weak in close quarters (no shotgun/fusion). They are also a nice anti-vehicle option considering how strong vehicles are. 3. Auto Rifle is definitely a little strong. Pulse Rifles are terrible. Good suggestion. 4. I'm fine with how strong vehicles are as long as there are good counters. The turrets all around the moon absolutely wreck the moving vehicles. I like the suggestion for an initial Heavy Ammo supply on vehicle maps. That would provide an alternative for the other players who don't grab a vehicle in time, and a good counter against them. 5. Killing each other definitely happens constantly. They delays can be frustrating as well.

PVP isn't fun, vehicles are too powerful on the small maps.

1. I agree, I don't quite like it. Make it somehow more balanced or just get rid of it all together. The later is a personal favourite. Or as stated make it known that a titan can one shot me that way I won't freakin' try to attack him while he is capturing my flag. 2. Agreed, the autoaim needs to be lowered...It's great to compensate for the lack of everything the handcannon is and allows me to actually use it decently (since the only way to use it is by headshots). But it makes it too easy to kill people. As a PC gamer I understand the console gamers need to autoaim...but even THIS is too much. 3. I don't use either so I don't really care, but pump up handcannon damage if you aren't going to do anything else to it. There is no actual incentive to use it over the scout rifle at the moment. 4. Agreed, although I don't like vehicles in general, map is too small for them. Make a bigger make, or add more heavy ammo packs. OR PLEASE don't make my heavy ammo disappear when I die...it's stupid. 5. Agreed. I love the multiplayer but pretty much everything this guy hit on keeps me from playing it...i just play strikes instead. Until it's fixed. Here's hoping the final will be. Or at least add game modes where you don't need to use Supers...
-
1. Snipers probably need less aim assist. 2. Vehicles are easily destroyed, but destroy anyone on the ground. 3. It's an MMO you don't need a balanced multiplayer. It's the players job to make them selves balanced with the weapons, armor, and abilities in the game.

2 RepliesDisagree with your points sorry. I was having a blast in PVP last night and it's been a long time since I've enjoyed a FPS online.
-
1 ReplyGood points but the supports are supposed to be op but I agree that there should be an indication when someone has a super
-
I think Supers are fine but I feel the warlock super is was OP. It's bullshit that Titans have to run into danger and Hunters have 2 shots, while warlocks can just fling their super from a safe distance and get 2-3 kills straight away. Either reduce the radius of the blast or nerf the throwing distance.
-
1 ReplyWell, I agree with a few of your points. Especially that something needs to be done about supers, but I can't make any real accusations of things being OP or needing nerfed, because right now, everything is standardized. As Well as the fact that this is a beta. while Yes, there will be a standardized mode in the full game, I feel that the defense of players will be higher than it is now, because That's what makes sense. Why nerf a bunch of things, when you can bump people's defense up and solve a good chunk of problems there.
