My computer has been going extremely slow over the past week and just recently I've been getting annoying popups pop-ups with viruses with every link I click. Now I have a horizontal line scrolling down my screen and I dunno wtf's going on.

2 RepliesOpen it up remove the mother board, make sure to remove the processor as well. Turn the mother board over now rub toothpaste on the bottom of it, then put it in the microwave for 7:34 minutes (this is crucial the timing must be exact) and you are done make sure to consult your health care professional if you have an erection lasting longer than 4 hours.

1 ReplyPut it in the microwave for like 15 seconds. Your problem will be fixed. Or get a priest.

1 ReplyI say you get out your Windows disc and do a complete reformat and reinstall. It's the only way to be sure.

Edited by DarkSpyda04: 3/9/2014 9:12:00 PMI don't seem to be getting popups to annoying ads now everytime I click on something and the speakers aren't making a racket. The lines are still scrolling down the screen but aren't too noticeable. The last thing I did before going to sleep at 7:00AM was finish up a malbytes full system scan and eliminate PUPs and three more serious viruses. I keep updating if anything else occurs. Hopefully I'll have learned something from all of this. In addition I'm creating a restore point. Now my computer's faster and has no viruses (seemingly)

Do a full security scan and Quarantine suspicious files ASAP

20 RepliesRestart in safe mode and remove anything you recently downloaded.

2 RepliesIf you have no data you want to keep, get your recovery disc out (you did create one when you got the machine?) and rebuild from scratch. First things to do when it's built is install an antivirus (some good free ones out there) and set it up to scan everything you download. Next download all the Microsoft updates. After this ensure you virus check everything you download (or are given by anyone else) before you execute it Do not download any hand toolbars (let's face it they're all rubbish) Don't open any mail attachments with such useful topics as "I saw this and thought of you" If a website wants to scan your PC and speed it up, remember it's lying... It wants to install a Trojan or Ad Ware... Keep everything up to date (FLASH, JAVA EVERYTHING) REMEMBER The internet is fully of EVIL PEOPLE...

I never experienced any kinds of problems with my computer before so how the hell was I supposed to know? As I say first time's the lesson learner and second chance is the real attempt. The whole webpage is filled with friggen annoying product ads now and I have adblock active. I'm doing everything I can to crush the problem.

3 RepliesDude..... please tell me you're trolling. I have never met anyone that is actually dumb enough to allow their system to literary rot like this. The pop-ups are known as adware, to remove the adware you need to remove the programs creating the adware. The date of which these programs were installed onto your system will make it easier to get rid of them. However... you have a -blam!-ing horizontal line scrolling down? Nuke Windows and install a fresh new copy. You -blam!-ed up your computer to the point of no return.
-
If you know how(which I doubt) run a hardware diagnostic on you graphics card. Then a soft ware diagnostic on all drives and the graphics player. If both of these comes up blank nuke the system I mean everything reformat all drives clean out all programs reinstall windows then repeat step one and two.
-
Just reformat everything. It'll be the easiest and most effective way.

1 ReplySounds like you've been downloading and picked up some nasty viruses, malware, trojans, etc. Honestly, a hefty cocktail of malwarebytes and any antivirus software you may have, run in safe mode, may help, but when things are that bad it's typically best to just wipe and reinstall your OS.
