Things are never "bad" anymore. It's always "very", "really", "extremely" bad. If something is bad, it's almost always the "worst thing ever". No movie ever "sucks", it "sucked ass".
You could say the same about the flipside.

Wrong. For example. This thread is bad.

1 ReplyI was about to agree with you when I read the title. I thought you were going to talk about how people are trying to say morality is subjective, and how there are no bad things.
-
1 ReplyThis thread makes literally no sense. Though it doesn't surprise me knowing who the idiot OP is.
-
4 RepliesNoticed this a loooong time ago and it's a pretty stupid mindset. I don't know why people don't look at middle grounds as often anymore.

6 RepliesThis thread is bad and you should feel bad.

"Bad" is too mainstream. I see "subjective" and "objective" used by too many people too so those are too mainstream. I will make a new word.

You could say the same about the flipside.
Madoka Magica was a good anime. It wasn't great. It wasn't amazing. It wasn't hand given to us by Jesus himself. It was good, that's all.

True.

Bad bad bad bad bad bad bad

It's very common, but I wouldn't say that people never say "bad" anymore.

It's true.

Quality thread.

This thread is the worst.

I think people like exaggerating. So they say "That sucked major ass!!"

I say stuff is ok all the time. And I say that stuff is bad all the time.

OP is very gay.

We're all mad.

That's because we live in an age of hyperbole. It is characterised by the majestic attention whore, the most elegant of hyperbolistic creatures.

3 RepliesYou forgot 'kind of bad', 'pretty bad', 'sort of bad', and 'not that bad'.
-
Yeah, you got a point there.
-
2 RepliesWhat are you talking about. There's no such thing as bad or good. The word we use these days is "subjective".
-
Yeah, I've noticed this. For me nothing is 'bad' unless it wasn't done how it was supposed to, or it can be compared to something of the same sort that is better. i.e. A movie is reviewed as "terrible" because of its lack in story. As the director aimed for it to be more of an 'artsy and abstract' film on pretty colours, he achieved that by not having a strong story. If I watched it and didn't like it, I'd just say I didn't like it. To me, saying something like that is terrible is too objective, especially if their end result was exactly what they planned for.
