How Difficult Are Invis Players To See?
Just curious, because players seem to be divided on this one.

For me, the invisibility isn't as much a problem as the lack of radar presence that comes with it, but I've learnt to accept that this is how it is if I get the urge to enter PvP.

Edited by Fulgerion: 4/11/2026 10:54:08 AMDepends on your color vision and accuracy of your monitors. And how good you are at noticing the shimmer/distortion. They are super easy for me to see at all times. I can instantly spot them. I have super color vision with fairly accurate IPS panels. I also have a trained eye from other games that use much harder to see cloaking that is only a near impossible to see shimmer and no color filter. You can't hide from me. The challenge is the radar presence.

On maps like eternity or the burnout (especially outside) they are almost impossible to see, but on maps like Javelin-4 or distant shore their pretty easy to see cause the purple shimmer

Foetracer?

They can be seen quickly in PVE. You forgot to add that one 😁👍

Edited by Ruin Arc: 4/10/2026 3:35:02 PMThis is pointless as most players are crutching Hunter so your poll is going to be full of lies and bias

Never had an issue with them unless one is camping around a corner with a shotty out

Never had an issue

1 ReplyInvis is incredibly map dependant. On lighter maps its kinda pish to deal with. On darker maps? I mean, if you take your time to look, sure, not that bad. During pure chaos? Not so easy

It isn’t such a problem re invisibility, it’s more of an issue about materialising / dematerialising in the blink of an eye! Nothing on radar…then ‘poof’ - a ninja off the starboard bow…zaaaap!…then ‘poof’ - and he’s gone?! Other favourite things: - no-miss nonstop Golden Gun shots from unbelievable angles and distances; - incredible movements that defy game physics; - - invincibility - even at point blank range; - - their weapons behave very differently from mine even when it’s the same type; - etc… SMH 😵💫 That is all. Play Fair! Play Nice! Don’t Quit! 👈 Ease Springs! 🖖👻 MTFBWY

Edited by Zekes: 4/8/2026 6:39:22 PMThe difficulty seeing them is only a part of the whole problem. Guardian Games should honestly provide analytics on these playstyles, if you have 6 hunters with 4/5 of them running void, those are free invis procs for the duration of the entire match. Skip difficulty in seeing them, frequency of use and party size needs to be factored. If you just got done beating Cheese and Bacon in a lane, youre now retreating to refresh your loadout may be, any slight lapse of judgement or game sense could be overcame by the simple ease of use of the ability, especially in the hands of a competent player, now increase that probability by 2 or 3 times. The advantage it provides, paired with full movement benefits-- when Titan and Warlock have to be stationary, or within immediate proximity of their class ability to gain all of their respective "advantages", the latter can often times outshine. For what pvp is, yes one could say it is to be expected, sure; but it does get mentally taxing when met with a use and abuse case basis, and purely based off Destiny's game logic, sometimes overall levels of preparedness could hinder the successes against it; we all know those scenarios. If you argue otherwise, you're either running en masse with the lobby body teaming kills, part of the upper 8% that always wins your engagements or you consume cheese in every part of your diet. Thats my take, dont need upvotes. Just wanted to share. Obviously I'm prepared to deal with it, as still play pvp, sometimes its the easier game mode when loot chasing...

One of them is manageable. Also two. Three or four or five? Fireteams communicating and chaining invis "forever"? Forget it. It's not only the invisibility providing more often than not that split second of first shot, it's also the non-radar advantage. Best case you hear someone dodging and disappearing from radar and then it's guessing time. Finally it makes you playing defensive and cautious cause aggressive play styles get punished immediately. There is a reason majority of Hunters currently run Nightstalker.

for me is a combo of movement speed or no movement, then blam I'm dead, so yeah hard to see for me, the only thing more frustrating are one's who constantly jump way up high and perform death from above, it's ok when you see them float cause their vunerable but if you dont catch it, it's over pal.
