All We Have To Do Is Listen

Every time I feel like coming back to this game, all I have to do is listen to Cross, or some other Bungie influencer, for 15 minutes in my earbuds while washing dishes. Doing this makes me remember I’m better off not coming back. And that I’d literally rather do chores. For example?: hearing the word “shiny” in discourse, as something that’s supposed to incentivize me into aspirational content? This is immediately revolting to me. Been there. Done that. Hated it. I don’t feel the immense desire I’m supposed to? To have a weapon roll nobody else has— something which I’m paradoxically also supposed to grind for— to then be just like everyone else that has it. It’s a problem that is symbolizable now, and yet you refuse to fix it. We are all buying winter jackets at REI. We are all ordering from the same menu at Arby’s. Getting rid of blueprints was one of the dumbest choices you guys have ever made. YouTube and Twitch used to be how you recruited people to your game? Now they are the most expedite ways for your players to decathect. And it’s even easier if you’re a previous player. The game’s metrics are especially concerning after the moment in time, for the record, where you gave us lightsabers. The highest high and the lowest low. Not a good margin. The model as it stands is incestuous. We can all tell, and it’s already winged your next big thing that’s not even out yet. It’s time for a LOT of changes. We know who pulled the pin on the grenade and left. We are still here waiting for you to pick up the pieces, with faith.

  • The only reason to return on a paying basis would mean a gigantic return to content. Don't tell me something is house of wolves size for it to be 4 story missions.... They can either make a game or not as far as I'm concerned. Don't pretend to make something just to cash the check

It's nice to hear you're so easily manipulated. I'd rather try out things myself. Their opinions are just that, theirs. Not mine.
For a community who loves to claim bungie only listens to streamers, you people sure do love listening to streamers.
Doing this makes me remember I’m better off not coming back. And that I’d literally rather do chores.
Well, to come back, you'd have to have actually left. You being here still shows how you haven't left yet.
For example?: hearing the word “shiny” in discourse, as something that’s supposed to incentivize me into aspirational content? This is immediately revolting to me.
Literally all "shiny" versions are is just a skin on a weapon that isn't required for anything and is purely cosmetic.
Been there. Done that. Hated it.
You're still here, no cares what you do, and you hate it so much you refuse to leave.
I don’t feel the immense desire I’m supposed to? To have a weapon roll nobody else has— something which I’m paradoxically also supposed to grind for— to then be just like everyone else that has it.
Its a videogame. What you have a desire for or not is solely on you. How would you have something that nobody has but everyone has?
It’s a problem that is symbolizable now, and yet you refuse to fix it.
The problem is actually people who place so much value on things or can't figure out how to actually quit something. They then stick around to give their input and opinions on things they don't play or have never touched.
We are all buying winter jackets at REI. We are all ordering from the same menu at Arby’s.
What?
Getting rid of blueprints was one of the dumbest choices you guys have ever made.
Oh no. You can't just craft every god roll that you most likely would have already earned just farming to get the ability to craft it.
YouTube and Twitch used to be how you recruited people to your game?
I've never heard of anyone using YouTube or twitch to buy or play a game. Most people either hear about games from friends or the very company that is making said game.
Now they are the most expedite ways for your players to decathect. And it’s even easier if you’re a previous player.
So, again, a community that claims to hate listening to streamers and Youtubers, you all sure do love to use them as every example.
The game’s metrics are especially concerning after the moment in time, for the record, where you gave us lightsabers. The highest high and the lowest low. Not a good margin.
What? The game is doing just fine, more so with less of you "quitters" playing and doing the bare minimum
The model as it stands is incestuous. We can all tell, and it’s already winged your next big thing that’s not even out yet.
Are you just throwing in big words and thinking they work or make sense? And by winged their next big thing, you mean that game that has nothing to do with destiny, wasn't made for destiny players, and already has a large following for it before it even releases.
It’s time for a LOT of changes. We know who pulled the pin on the grenade and left. We are still here waiting for you to pick up the pieces, with faith.
So long as one of those changes is people like you learning how to actually quit already and stop giving input on content you don't play or how you all hate the whole genre that you made the choice to start playing.
