You should check the Steam numbers more carefully. Had you done that you would have realised that the player count remained relatively stable throughout Oct and Nov. The current decline is what we've always seen throughout each expansion and season.

  • Yeah overall daily numbers right now are still stable at around 390k a day, so renegades didn't bring people back but the ones who played through edge are still here. It is holidays though & still new, there's still over 6 months of this season left & with the mid season update being pantheon it's not gonna move anything for the good & might infact push more average non raiders away. The playerbase is crashing angle is very premature at this point, even if it's coming down the road anyway, & it is. Only thing that can reignite numbers is a concrete future to buy into & huge qol changes

  • I have. It went as low as around 8000 in December. Usually when a half decent dlc drops the count goes way up, it went up but only to 72k or so. It lost that momentum and is way below what it should be already. I’m hoping it stabilises at around 15k at its lowest in the next few weeks, then it may be the first signs of recovery. If not, the demise is real.

  • You haven't. The player count was quite stable throughout Oct - Nov. By denying that you're clearly denying what Steam Tracker says. Renegades was released three weeks ago, numbers went up and now are going down again - as expected. Tl:Dr - the numbers from the previous two months ago clearly indicate that there's a baseline of players. Given the positive response R has received we can assume the numbers will stabilise at a somewhat higher level. Nowhere did the game peak at 8k users. You were looking at peak times for Oceania and Asia whilst the core markets are in EMEA and NA. Time zones 'n stuff, ya know?

  • I said the lowest was around 8k, the peak was about 70 odd k. I said it was going down BUT faster and lower than usual. I predict soon it will be at 6/7 k at its lowest. I’m still finding enough guys to play with even when it was 8k. There may be probs in the future though as it would probably not be cost effective.

  • It's not going down faster. The decline after TFS was released was bigger - 314k on day 1 to just above 110k a month later. During Season of the Plunder we saw daily peaks at around 25k.

  • A good effort. I sure hope this time Roflotl finally understands, and stops denying what is in front of us atm; A true decline in player population, one that we haven't seen since CoO. Though doubts still arise it will stick.
