Timed exotic mission are still a terrible design
Ah yes. The whisper mission is back. But let’s also bring back the 30 minute time minute with a level cap. Total trash.

It’s a forty minute mission that only takes ten You’ll be okay

as long as you start the boss fight (have to kill the 3 mini bosses i think) before time runs out you can finish it and it completes.

2 RepliesYou can literally walk through the mission and still have 15 minutes to spare. It's not the timer sweetie. It's you.

It's easy. Don't wanna do it? Fine. Don't do it. But please don't whine about how unfair the world is because you *choose* not to do what's required to earn the weapon.

I hate all timed content. It's just lazy design. Don't like doing the dishes? Then do them in five minutes. That'll make it super fun. If you fail you get to start over with all new dirty dishes. Your prize, if you succeed, is a used butter knife.

2 RepliesI don’t get why this is even a discussion. It was timed then when we all did it so why would it be any different now? The timer is what made it special. I earned the weapon, catalyst and the ship by practicing and failing until I got it right. The community has gotten way too soft anymore. Same with the new weapon drops.

Literal skill issue

I literally carried 2 noobs from my clan through the whisper mission with time to spare 🤷 we had possibly 12 minutes to do the boss fight maybe less but it was too easy… I will admit I died a few times but that’s fine cause I’ve already done legendary with 3 seconds to spare

Shooting one enemy per minute with a scout (into unmatching elemental shields) from 60 meters away is a terrible palystyle.

Besides that, whisper was never a favourite of mine. As for Zero hour, I already have a masterworked Outbreak Perfected. It’ll have to do, I’m not in the mood to be a circus trained monkey and bust my -blam!- yet again.

Total trash.[/quote] It’s a significant amount of time. It’s a large reason to why the mission was so good when it released. Not everything needs to be dumbed down to an extreme degree.

1 ReplyEdited by Hawpy: 4/15/2024 5:05:49 PMThe timer is twice as long as it used to be, we have significantly more movement options at our disposal than we did during its first stint and the combat is easier due to our own power going up and being able to stagger the boss spawns. What more do people want? When the mission first released, we were still forced into using two primary weapons; the people struggling with it now are using them voluntarily.

1 ReplyI’m an average player at best & was able to solo normal on my first try. First try on legendary I only made it to the boss room but with some practice & maybe a team I’m sure to get it done. Just keep practicing & you will get it 🙂

I was panicking on my warlock doing a solo run after dying to the boss a couple times, looked at the timer… had 20 left. This new version is so much easier than when it first came out

40 minutes is an Eternity for how easy it is, you can pug and get this done

I did manage to solo this on my first try but I really hate timers. Especially for the more difficult content. It just adds a layer of frustration. It’s one thing if we wipe and get pushed to orbit, it’s another thing to be just too slow and run out of time.

I’m absolutely terrible at jumping puzzles and barely made it to the boss room last time around when the two people helping me completed it.
