It’s time to add a hint message at the bottom of the screen explaining to players how to properly utilize the relic in The Corrupted strike..
Soon as the encounter starts or when someone picks it up for the first time, let them know how throwing it at shielded enemies does damage, whereas passing it to a teammate first before throwing it does increased damage..
Little quality of life changes like this will go a long way to help improve player experience, not adding recommendation pages for Eververse spending..
Just my two cents, I’m a nobody in the grand scheme of things..Have a nice day everyone😎

I know what to do, but I think it's funny to hold the ball and pretend like I don't
-
Yet people want matchmaking for raids and dungeons...
-
Crazy seeing 11 not know how to use it. I get seeing a 6 not know.
-
Would be nice. Running GM’s here with paragons that don’t have a clue how to do it
-
18 RepliesIt’s mind blowing this strike has been out for how many years and people still don’t know how to use and where to use the balls. If it was just new lights I’d understand but I see people from rank 5 all the way to rank 11 have zero clue.

10 RepliesWe're closing on on half a decade of the strike being in the game and people can't grasp this simple mechanic. This is why Bungie won't add raid matchmaking, because why waste the effort on raids when people can't even figure out strike mechanics?
-
1 ReplyHoly -blam!- this is the first time im hearing this and ive run this thing hundreds of times. So does it keep increasing potential damage the more you hand it over or is it a one and done. How do you even hand it over?!? This post seriously just rocked my brain. How was anyone supposed to know this???
-
Its time to pull the plug on D2.
-
Edited by LoITheMan: 7/14/2023 5:29:14 PMIt does! It gives the pop up the first few times you run the strike. That was how I learned the mechanic.

1 ReplyOh, I thought it was time for sparrow racing and got excited
-
3 RepliesIt literally doesn't matter in the playlist and on hero...
-
I actually got excited as I was running the Corrupted strike (not NF) with rands on Tues and someone actually knew what to do with the relic! It's been a long time and really rare to have someone throw it to me or be waiting to receive it when I want to throw it to them. Usually I throw it and they just turn and run away forcing me to jump back and grab it again, and like a moron I try to pass it a second time and then go back yet a third time and I just grumble and deal with it myself.

1 ReplyServers wouldn't be up long enough for newbies to read it
-
14 RepliesBungie, its time to release the source code of Destiny 2 so the fans can develop the game and actually make it good.
-
Bump.

1 ReplyIt’s been so long since I figured out the orb mechanic, but when/where is it taught to you? Was it during the strike itself or somewhere else’s?

First off, if you throw that orb to me, I am slinging it off the side. Take the F n orb and just throw it at the shielded enemy. Break the shield and kill it. If you can’t kill any one of them as a fire team, then you have no business running this strike. Other than a GM, I might think about tossing it to a team mate.
-
While it's annoying it's just easier to grab it twice and chuck it less you're doing gm. Takes 2 balls to break any of the shields on lower difficulty. A extra 5s isn't as big of a deal as the community thinks it is.

2 RepliesThis game is dead too me.
-
1 ReplyI love when I pick it up and look to throw it to someone, and no one seems to want it.
-
Except that they reduced the overshields in this strike so passing it to your teammates doesn't even matter anymore... except in GMs.
-
1 ReplyNot required in any mode cept maybe in GM. In VS and lower tier nighfalls just one pop the shields and two shot the mob. Takes half the time instead of playing football. Maybe why people are tired of the hand off ? You throw to me I hand right back lol. Here come the defenders and flames I bet. I say do your part. Skill issue, get good whatever lol. From a noobs perspective.
-
You’re asking for way too much bud. It’s been almost 5 years and they still can’t fix the motes clipping through the ground in Gambit.

I actually didn't realize it did increased damage if you passed it first lol
