Remove Free to play
Let’s get Destiny back to it’s and make it so you actually have to purchase the game to play any mode. Since it’s been made free to play the community has become full of toxic players destroying the once peaceful and helpful community we had.

Bungie making Destiny 2 Free to Play gave them an excuse to bring back old content. Cause, you know, making new content is hard... When it's their job to do so... Free to Play also allowed more cheaters to play. They can just keep making accounts... But it's all about the money for Bungie

Been here since day 1 and honestly not sure what you are talking about This community like any have its good sides and bad sides .....forum are part of the bad side btw Best way to enjoy the game in my opinion is to get a clan focused on its community and not 1 of those mega clan running giveaway with dead channel in their discord but 300+ players

What are you talking about? If you want to play the full game, you have to pay over 100USD per year. It's not F2P. Or are you talking about the gimped Demo?

It isn’t really F2P, though, is it? Without the DLCs, there’s nothing to do. The free bit is basically a demo. I can’t imagine there’s many people playing who haven’t caved and spent money to be able to access content.

And what is free to play is so old and boring. Gambit and strikes have been boring for at least 3 years. If you want to be truely honest, the toxic level has increased since inception.

lol you must be new yourself. Destiny has always been this way. It's way worse actually for LFG raids because of how everyone has to have a role in everything and if you don't have a brain, you aren't getting very far. (also the revive token system is utter garbage) This game isn't even a Free to play...it's a trial. all the free stuff is Strike, PVP, Gabit and the first mission of every season just to give you a taste of what I could be like to own the season. Other than that, there's nothing to do.

Agreed on affects of F2P in Destiny although you did not mention it :) Disagreed on F2P players are being specifically more toxic than others. Day 1 player here, some would consider me wildly toxic and I paid for most of D1 and D2 (exlcuding chunk of seasons and some DLCs since D1 to today). There is no evidence to suggest F2P players are responsbile for anything in particular. Unfortunately, as long as people blame others for being toxic just because they disagreed with something or have a opposing opinion, the situation will not get better. Most in the forums wants to be the toxic one but whitout being called toxic, or while calling others toxic. Calling people toxic for every little thing is just the trend in social media, not unlike cancel culture. Because it is easier to tell others that the person who disagrees with you is simply "toxic" than defending an opinion with actual thought process.

2 RepliesThe [i]only[/i] reason i want destiny 2 to be a free to play game is so i dont have to pay for xbox gold. D2 is the only multiplayer game i currently play and needing to drop 10 bucks a month (on top of paying for every dlc) to access multiplayer is a scam that i dont miss
