Tell us about something new and exciting that's happened in that thing of yours that some poor souls might confuse for a life.
Tell us about the latest injury you've endured! Describe the cause, the pain, the wound, the possible hospital visit and stay, all these things and more in vivid detail.
Three paragraph minimum nerds, do it you won't. Look I'll even pull something out me bum right now to assert my dominance.
So there I was see, just minding me own business talking like this for reasons beyond even me own comprehension. Twas playing that Elden Rings, made a new character to have a Lord of Chaos ready for any DLC incase there's some special interaction or what have ya. I've been using Vyke's spear and a big shield just poking bosses to death, and I tell ya this -blam!- boring.
Anywhomst my cat jumped up on my lap and did that annoying thing where she latches onto my leg like a panther in a tree. I hissed, because I'm one of those weirdos that does that, and scared her which temporarily caused her to dig her claws deeper before fleeing my wrath. So now I'm rocking these sick strawberry gashes on my ankles because I was sitting cross legged at the foot of my bed. I swear I'm not a cutter.
So I gets up an go to the bathroom to clean the wounds and tripped over the dog gate. I fell face first into the floor and my arm scrapped the door on the way down. I got bruises all along my arm and legs and my eyes look like I got knocked the -blam!- on out. If anyone in real life asks I'm gonna say I used my face to break some guys fist.
I stayed on the floor for a bit just glaring at the ceiling while my arm and legs throbbed, how dare it judge me. My right leg didn't work so good for a bit and my arm was sore, my face felt fine though so I guess I just always look like this. I'm pretty sure when your sleep deprivation bags turn to bruises it means seven more weeks of winter, case and point it's SNOWING as I type this.
That's all I got I'm too drunk to words good, now your turn you ridiculous sweet and sour dweebs.

1 ReplyI got drunk and brave and confessed my feelings. She said she felt the same way. It's been good. I've been depressed for years and never really got serious with anyone, but she makes me actually feel. It's been like waking of from a coma to find all my dreams came true. It's wonderful. I haven't even told anyone in my life, just you nerds that I come in to see once a decade.

New and exiting things, I see. Well, not much new and exiting things have happened recently, if I am going to be honest. Which is something I am very much not liable to do! I am not really one of those people who spontaneously combust into injuries, so I don’t really have any interesting stories about that. How unfortunate? Then again, my hit dice is so low I when trained myself to avoid such a thing and let the fighters go first. There has not been to much of interest over here as of late. I have not been able to play to much Dungeons and Dragons, as none of my players have been able to show up. Just me and Watsons, though he is quite used to solo adventuring by now. I have been building a dungeon for him to explore with pretty cool lore and all, so I am decently proud of that. As we hit the 3 tiny paragraph mark, let’s see what else has happened. Oh, I drew a lot. I realized I needed to practice my drawing, so I headed down to one of those old timey western towns locked in a perpetual temporal stasis of the Wild Western time period to practice. Drew with some Sheriffs, some outlaws, and even some little green men. Others say that last part was just heat exhaustion, as I am used to the freezing cold of the Martian Arctic where I make my home, but I swear that’s what I saw. Quite a wild wasteland out there. Hmmm, what else? I have not found the optimal amount Of Ms in the onomatopoeia Hmmm, but I have not abandoned that quest! Furthermore, the spell research is quite good. I have gotten pretty good at sitting in a generic looking mages office with all the unnecessary thingymabobs and pretending to do wizarding work. It’s drama level is almost that of sitting on every throne you find with great over dramatics, but not quite. When I do actually make some spell stuff it’s usually of the best kind, you know the fun little illusion and enchantment pranks. Oh also the ones that require singing, though that usually just annoys my foes to death. Still have not learned the hidden art of juggling. Still think it’s a hoax.

3 RepliesLet me sing you a song. *ahem* KFC. KFC is red. Do you know what else is red? That is right. The color red. Red has three letters. KFC also has three letters. Three times three is nine. Seven ate nine. Therefore we are left with seven who ate nine. There are seven days in a week. Week. Week rhymes with the word beak. Beak. Chickens have beaks. Chicken. Chickens have two wings. Humans have zero wings. Two plus zero is two. The colonel has two eyes. Chickens also have two eyes. Two plus two is four. There are four letters in the first four letters of McDonald's. McDonald's sells chicken. KFC also sells chicken. There are nine letters in the word McDonald's Nine. Nine rhymes with the word Electromagnetic Delay Line. Magnet. Magnets are metal. Cages are also metal. Chickens are kept in cages. Is this where KFC gets their chicken? Let's find out! Chickens have two legs and humans also have two legs. So, two plus two is four. The colonel has four limbs. A chicken has two limbs unless you count their wings, which is four. Four divided by four is one. The Illuminati has one eye. KFC is Illuminati confirmed *bows*

1 ReplyEdited by Twin Inferno: 4/19/2022 12:52:36 PMSo… While at work (which was the day before Easter so it was a 13 hour shift) I got a notification from my bank about suspicious activity, I look at it which I never really do, it’s like twice a week, bc I don’t regularly buy stuff. I’ve been saving for months and seeing a notification about someone spending $60 at chipotle which I’ve only been to 8 years prior. This had me riled up, I was investigating and my boss ended up yelling at me bc I wasn’t working despite only being on it for 5 minutes and working 12 hours without a break. I just said loudly “I’m busy” bc the ordeal was a bit overwhelming. They left me alone for an extra 5 minutes for being on my @$$ again. After work, I went into my spending history. I saw a lot of “$35.99 at dominoes” “$50.99 at the vineyard” “$15.99 at paramount+” “$159.80 at mayflower storage” “$45.00 on… ONLYFANS (online)” WTF!! And the list went on, essentially being around a total of $750 being stolen. Before calling the bank, I did what any independent, confident, intelligent person would do… I called my parents. We went over things, we called the bank, had my card cancelled. They didn’t exactly believe me at first until I told them I’m not even old enough to drink, and $150 was spent at the vineyard. That had em convinced. Now… this all happened with alot of other things, let’s just say this was the worst time to be stolen from. So especially after a 13 hour work shift, and mugged the night before along with a barrage of issues that have been on my mind for two weeks. I am so genuinely surprised I didn’t go on some murder spree, or just lost my $hit all together. It’s scary knowing some lard -blam!- needed me to buy his paramount+ subscription PARAMOUNT DAMN YOU AND YOUR HALO SHOW! Anyways… not interesting, just infuriating and depressing. An honest and accurate interpretation of my life. Cheers y’all

13 RepliesEdited by The First Aifos: 4/24/2022 3:18:58 PMWell, my life is pretty boring, but I shall try.
Life stuffs
My sister got a new car, and gave me her old car for free. And I hate it. It is the worst. I wish she had given it to someone else, or just gotten rid of it. Ugh. To be clear, I'm not complaining about the quality of the car, it's not the best but it was free, and I can't complain about something being free not being the best quality. My issue is having a car in general. Now that I have a car, I have to work 5am shifts every Monday to help my work unload truck, because my previous reason why I couldn't was that I walk to work. I also kinda liked hanging out with my family during our shopping trips, but now that I have a car there's no more of that, it's always just "Go drive yourself!". Plus I just hate driving. Anywhere and everywhere. Puts me in a bad mood. And on top of all that, they're telling me I need to get it registered, and fill the tire, and then of course there's gas. Like, I don't have money for all that jazz! Especially since...
Writing
I just sent out my book for professional editing. On one hand, that is great, that's one of the last steps before I get to publishing. On the other hand, it cost me $3,000 Money! I needed to get it done, and I'm glad I did, but I really hate spending Money, and that's the most Money I've ever spent on something all at once. But, that does mean I'm close to getting published. Woot. Once I get their notes back, I should be able to put together a final draft that I'm proud of, and then figure out whether I want to self publish or not. Either way, I'm super close, it's kind of exciting. As far as writing stuff here goes. I was going to post another RP after Aria finishes, but I think I'm probably going to can it. I can't do short RPs, all my RPs are gonna be super long, and I don't think the people here want to do long RPs. I was thinking of maybe making some stories to post as I wait for my book to get back, so whatever.
Video game stuffs
I just picked up Elden Ring, and Tunic. As I mentioned in the other thread I'm having a hard time getting into Elden Ring so far, though. Which is a shame, because I really like it's combat, and I really want to like it. I might later on, but this beginning is a slog. I have been intentionally avoiding going to the boss, though, because even though I've already almost beat him when I was trying it on my friend's Xbox (only reason I didn't win is 'cause the game crashed), I'm trying to get into this mindset of exploration. Not working so far. Tunic on the other hand is fantastic. You pick up pages of the game's instruction manual as collectibles in the game, and that is flippin' brilliant. The game's all about figuring itself out, while playing some Soulsborne-lite cute little adventure. I think part of why I'm having such a hard time getting into ER is because Tunic is so good. I've also been playing Project Spark, building my own game and whatnot. I made a whole thread about that, though, so I'll stop myself from talking your ear off here. That project has made me want to play Crystal Chronicles again, and I once again lament that nobody will play it with me. I played the game as a Clavat (jack of all trades) because I knew I'd be playing solo, but I heard Yukes (mages) are really great solo, too, so I might try to see if I can move over some endgame gear to my Yuke, and level him up. I'm also really looking forward to the console release of Risk of Rain 2's DLC. Skullgirls just released a new DLC, too, though I haven't really gotten too into it yet. Oh, and I finished Kirby and the Forgotten Land recently. Very good, but I don’t know what to do with the new lore.
Injury
My kitty scratched my hand when I tried to play with him. Usually a blanket is enough to keep his claws from cutting skin, but I guess he had a vengeance this time, and now I got a cut on my hand. It's almost healed, though. That's it for my injury story. I don't get hurt very much. Edit: to the 0 of you that care
I did it. I went and gave my Yuke some endgame loot. There was a problem, though. See, in FF:CC you don’t have “levels”, but rather throughout the dungeons you can find Artifacts that raise your stats for the duration of the dungeon. Once you beat the boss, you get to keep one Artifact for a permanent stat increase. There are 5 stats in FF:CC: HP, Command Slots (CS), Attack, Defense, and Magic. Only Attack & Defense can be raised through equipment*, which left Magic, HP, and CS at their basic level. For HP, this was fine. Just meant I had to git gud, and I can do that. But CS determines how many items you can put in your Command List, which is where all your actions come from. By default, you have 2. I could either fit; 1 attack spell & 1 revive on death. 1 attack spell & 1 heal spell. 1 Fusion spell. Andnot only that, but as a wizard, not being able to raise my Magic meant I was dealing pitiful damage. It was horrible. ;-; But I did get a +5 to Magic at the end, and my Yuke has a nice voice, so woot. Edit edit: I guess I should also point out, in FF:CC, when you clear a dungeon its “Rank” increases, up to a max of 3. Higher Ranks make for a harder dungeon. Every dungeon is Rank 3 for me, which is why it was so tough. While my Attack & Defense were on par with a Rank 3 Dungeon, my Magic was only on the level of a Rank 1. And reminder that I’m playing as the wizard class. Much pain. Edit 2: Since I saw this thread again, why not give another update that none of you will read? Mostly ‘cause I’m too sleepy to actually do anything, but too awake to go back to sleep. As my second dungeon as my WIZARD, I went to Tida. I was expecting this to go really badly. If I had so much trouble with the first level, then no doubt here would be even worse! But, I need to come to Tida for a very important drop; a Command Slot! With one extra Command Slot, I could use a level 2 spell & a heal spell at the same time! As it turns out, though, it actually wasn’t that bad. That +5 Magic either helped a lot, or Rank 3 Tida is easier than Rank 3 Level 1. There was, however, one very big problem. Abaddons! Big flyimg bug monsters! See, in order to effectively fight flying monsters, you need to hit them with Gravity. Gravity is a level 2 spell, so with my limited Command Slots I couldn’t equip it, and Fira (my main source of damage) at the same time. This meant whenever I came across one of these dudes, I had to swap to Gravity, then clobber them with my hammer, which I think deals less damage than my spells now. They could also kill me in two hits, since I still only have 4 hearts. And the boss is guarded by THREE of them. Suffice to say, they done killed me a couple times. But, the boss went down easy enough, and I have 5* Command Slots now! Next step will either be gunning for a Magicite Ring, or increasing my HP, but I don’t know which yet. *or 3, depending how you count them. Before I wasn’t counting your “Green” Comnand Slots, which are permanently locked to Attack & Defend. If you do count them, you start with 4 Slots not 2.
2 RepliesI suppose, yes, we are much the boring. Doth thou hath maidens? A valid question we must all ask ourselves every morning, its ok though because you still have the Elden Ring and can get a digital one instead! Today was a great day, I went to gracefully jump out of the car earlier, only instead of a gentle swan leap it was more like a belly flop as said vehicle was slightly in motion. Nothing is broke or damaged to badly but it probably looked a hilarious entertainment, for future car exit ensure both feet leave the car. Our strength was once in our numbers, now we only come above ground one at a time, This is the way!
Sorry lass, I have important things to do, we'll speak another time.
4 RepliesThe details of my life are quite inconsequential... very well, where do I begin? My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low-grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. My mother was a fifteen-year-old French -blam!- named Chloe with webbed feet. My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. My childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When I was insolent, I was placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds- pretty standard, really. At the age of twelve, I received my first scribe. At the age of fourteen, a Zoroastrian named Vilma ritualistically shaved my -blam!-. There really is nothing like a shorn scrotum... it's breathtaking- I suggest you try it.

3 RepliesEdited by Upperclass Bum: 4/19/2022 4:10:22 AMI saw the same bands play the same songs two days in a row in two different cities. It was a good time and much needed escape from the miserable -blam!- show that is my life right now. I met one of the lead guitarists from Vulvodynia and he was such a chill guy and easy to talk to (I'm usually really apprehensive about approaching or talking to musicians at shows). They're from South Africa and he was telling me how they'd actually like to move out to LA, namely 'cause South Africa is so dangerous and it would be better for their music since there isn't much of a scene there. I hope they get the opportunity some day. The shows were great, but the second was definitely better. 1720 drops the ball sometimes with some of the bands, Idk what goes wrong but it's been hit and miss the 3 times I've been there. I couldn't hear Stevie's highs and barely heard is lows when Inferi played. Was still a good time, but the show at Brick by Brick was so much better and you could tell the bands were feeling it. I also got a guitar pick from Dean after Archspire's set which pretty much sealed the deal for that being one of my top 5 shows. But now, I'm back to the shitty copy / pasted days of my normal "life". Working a job that is largely a waste of time at this point. One of the vans I normally load wasn't there for Idk what -blam!- reason but there were still packages coming assigned to it. At first I was simply tossing the packages on the ground after scanning 'cause I wasn't about to keep popping squats or jumping down to place the packages on the floor especially with the amount coming down the conveyor. Manager walks by and asks me to stack 'em (something I could have done from the get go had he got the damn step stair my coworker asked if he could get). Done. Stacked, neat and nice. Random manager from different line decides they need to be organized as they would be if they were loaded in the van. I hate young managers, I really do...

5 RepliesWhy do you demand entertainment and then fail to entertain? I’ll try my hand give me a sec to make up a fake story that seems mildly interesting… ok here it is: I was playing Rec league basketball with a bunch of buddies when a couple of rabid dogs invaded the room and downed jim and Austin. I ran away but it was too late, my mediocre athleticism had not prepared me for this moment. I watched in terror as the beasts desecrated the vessels I used to call friends. Until in my darkest hour when I heard a voice. On the other side of the glass was a girl, no older than 6, staring at me. She held out her hand but it was out of reach; the barrier between us would mean the end of my life. But the dogs suddenly quit their endeavors. The girl had walked into the gym containing the courts and befriended the monsters. She was their master, and my hope was shattered in an instant. The last sound I heard was a whistle. Then I woke up from my dream [I apologize for the poorly used story change] because all fake stories.. I mean real stories have dreams in them and weird animal injuries. So there you go I guess. Sarcastic comments are approved and encouraged. Thanks for wasting your time!

5 RepliesUm. Kidney stones. Again. I’ve been fighting a particularly rough one for a couple of weeks. Thanks to the plague, a lot of medical procedures are on hold. And even though mine was listed as “urgent” I still had to wait two and a half weeks before I could get in for surgery to deal with that. The upside was that was a week earlier than I was initially given. The downside… there’s a lot of downsides. First off, when I kidney stone, I kidney stone big. So for the past two weeks I haven’t been able to walk without feeling like someone is pulling on a knife in my stomach with a rope. And walking is my job. So a lot of that isn’t happening. Second, no surgery is fun. But surgery in that delicate location comes with some really fun side effects that I won’t get into here. No one wants that. So I got surgery. Yay. It was not successful. Boo. Because the two weeks of trauma have inflamed all the shall we say behind the scenes parts of my waterworks. So the stone was pushed back to my kidney instead of destroyed and I have a stent in me for the next week and a half until we get to try again. It’s agony. All the time. And I hate it.
