Is getting a 7 win card, throwing it away to get a horrible roll just to have to win 7 more times, not enough for you dorks? There isnt even a way to farm that many shards for the time Trials is active during a givin week. What is so wrong with players getting more Adept rolls they bad to go flawless to unlock in the first place?
Why can't we get 3 free weekly focuses that just cost 1 Trials engram and ONE 7 win card? Is too many people having an adept weapon with good rolls gonna break your sandbox? FFS.
Edit: I look forward to getting a terrible Adept roll tomorrow and not having enough shards to get a better one.

1 Replysucks to be broke

1 ReplyWow people really are broke on shards lol.
-
12 RepliesConsidering that Adept weapons are actually the best gear in the game I think 250 is a bit cheap.
-
2 RepliesCleaning out your vault will give you a healthy pile of shards.

1 ReplyThey need to let us break down ascended shards and prisms to get legendary shards
-
They have been increasing cost of things like bright dust and lego shards because of people like myself. I currently have 30K shards and 60K bright dust. Just not worth it for me to spend them on what's available at the moment.
-
They r crazy. It's WAYYYY to many shards you don't even earn 200 in a week with casual play
-
The solution is to never go Flawless again. Oh, sorry, that’s my problem. Carry on and you’re dang right that’s too expensive!!!

1 ReplyAah Recall the early days of Forsaken when Enhancement Cores were introduced I’d just (stupidly) bought 9+ without looking 10, 20, 40, 80, 160, 320, 640, 1280, 2560, 5120… Single figure shards left! Another reason I wanted to shoot Spider! 🤯😆😞

Edited by Sleepy_Josh: 10/18/2021 5:15:22 PMI want to help you out, from what you are saying you primarily run pvp game modes? I would recommend that you run some other modes and collect some low tier weapons to turn into shards. Throw in some balance into your rotation and you should be able to easily farm shards and enjoy the rewards from the pvp experience. I have found that open world patrols quests and gambit produce huge amounts of trash weapons that I deconstruct for shards. I wish you luck with your sharding.

Agreed. I traded for 2 adepts and 5 weapons the first week without looking at the cost then realized i lost over half my shards. I havent converted an engram since, definitely too expensive and so is xurs inventory.

Nah its fine.

6 RepliesHonestly, the fact Bungie added the ability to even reroll weapons was nice, do you want everyone running around with "God" rolled Adept everything? I know you have to get the flawless once on the weekend of the weapon to unlock it but after that it's easy because you just get 7 wins and an engram. It should cost what it costs, high risk/high reward if you're lucky.

7 RepliesI had thousands of legendary shards a couple seasons ago. With the stupid prices of enhancement prisms and adept weapons, I’m down to 71.

Also i hate how newbies don't know how to make any public events hit heroic. Geeze not even the servitor. I'm tryn to get maybe5 pages at a time not 2

Yes it’s a lot but it’s fair. Seeing the bs most adept weapons take to get paying some shards isn’t that big a deal. If it’s to big a problem just don’t buy them.
-
250 shards seems fine to me. They are so easy to get it’s not even funny.
-
I get the cost it's pretty high, and yes, it seems that if you only focus on one side of the game, the way to get shards it's limited. But, I have 22k plus shards, does this make me better? Heck no, does this justify the high cost? Nope. But you play every aspect of the game, reset you factions, raid, etc., shards just keep coming at you. My son barely played the game, he was lucky to get above 100 shards lol, now, that he is playing more constantly and raiding with my group he is at a steady 500 plus shards, and he only plays on the weekends that he is with me. I agree the cost is high, but I think Bungie sees it that the ones that will want to get another shot at an adept roll are people that play this game a lot. Plus, you can get another shot at an adept just by going flawless again correct? It's going to be a pain due to the Flawless pool and stuff, i get it, but if you have a decent team, put the time, you will get there, shards or not.

2 RepliesF** that idk why anyone would spend that much
-
usually i only have around 120 max i did have 1300 but im back to 80 because i spent them on engrams

2 RepliesGames went way to far with the grind.

It is a lot and you burn a lot of Shards. The trials changes already made the game mode and the rewards more accessible to Casual Players and this focusing seems oriented towards the core players. Now I think the first adept roll should be free as probably 95% of the casual players just hand in their card after going flawless. It’s more rewarding, core players can still throw away their legendary shards (I myself spend about 2k shards before realizing how expensive it was xD) And God-Rolls aren’t guaranteed anyways. Just like with GM’s RNG -blam!- us enough, our time Investment shouldn’t too
-
1 ReplyI have 16k plus shards and even i think that is expensive, mind you ill never go flawless so it doesn't worry me (yes I play a lot of pvp - yes I'm not a god tier player but my mum says average is still cool right...... right?)

Edited by Griever: 10/18/2021 6:29:07 PMThe most effective method of getting shards (if you czn get them) would be to buy rare transmat effects from collections, exchange them at Amanda, then dismantle the legendary item you got from her. Preferably on days Spider is selling certain resources for glimmer and is offering glimmer for shards. 25 shards = 250k glimmer 1 rare effect = 1k glimmer 3 rare effects = 1 legendary 1 legendary = 1 shard and 150 glimmer It's a long process, but you'll still be getting a larger profit.

Edited by 123TheCloop: 10/18/2021 5:04:12 PMeveryone here saying they have "40k+ shards" literally forgetting most of those you got over the course of a year or longer and you also seem to forget new players wont have this many. the cost simply detours new players from buying engrams and burns through vet players inventory of shards to a point you have to mind numbingly go grind legendary gear to just get them back. Normal (non adept gear) that -blam!- costs way to much. 100 shards + whatever it is to masterwork it is honestly dumb. really off putting to potentially new players.

10 RepliesI cant even get glimmer this is annoying asf Im broke just by getting one thing Doing pvp and it still isnt enough glimmer The economy system is a joke
