We learned how to fight against shotguns in D1 and everything carried over. The issue is not with the weapon class but with your play style which I have seen in others complaining as you do. STOP... THINK. What are shotguns strengths and weaknesses. Keep your distance.. Do not run at people. If they run at you back off. Do not go into CQB areas. Ignore those camping in them. Bait them out. Use area effect weapons. KEEP THAT DISTANCE. Adapt.... Improvise.... Overcome.

If they nerf shot guns then there will be another type of gun class people will be complaining about. I for one think shotguns are fine as it takes some skill to use them an get close to an enemy for them to be effective.
