Eriana's Vow. Buff that aim assist
Seriously, the gun has so much range but it's SO weak in bullet magnetism and aim assist compared to even the worst sniper in the game. Gun needs some love as you can tell by it's lack of use in the game.

The gun has an aim assist stat of like 80. Oh and a perc that is basically opening shot but it keeps going when you hit a crit. Just aim 4head.

Not criticizing your ability here, but its a champion killer, and their heads are huge. Youre telling me you cant pop a barrier knights big old head from range in a few shots? Come on now.

Nah. It doesn't need aim assist. It needs more damage against bosses. We need more viable DPS options instead of just crayon-eating Anarchy+MT and Xenophage.

11 RepliesThere's a few reasons almost no one uses it: Aim assist is very low. Takes 2 shots in PVP, but only fires 90 rpm, less than 2 rounds a second. In order to get a 2 tap, you need at least 1 head shot. Very slow ttk for a special weapon. Poor ammo economy. Start off with 4 in PVP, but w/o scavenger perks, you're only getting one shot. Despite having armor piercing rounds built into it, shots don't overpenetrate. It's only real use is to destroy barriers. Insane recoil hurts med-long range engagements on top of flinch. Sunsetting aside, why use it over something like Beloved or Felwinter's when the only gamemode it will shine in is MM Control, and that's only if you can land head shots?

Honestly, I really like Eriana's Vow. While I definitely wish it had a little more range, I don't find the recoil or accuracy to be an issue. The recoil suits the meaty nature of the weapon and the low rpm gives time to adjust. I suppose I will complain that you need to use the expensive generic scavenger mod. It can also be fun to get the occasional one tap in crucible if you are playing as a Titan or Warlock.

When it was first put into the game it shot through titan barricades. Makes sense because it's intrinsic anti-barrier. I thought that was a really cool thing. Switched things up but wasn't OP. but people complained. So it got nerfed.
