Hi all,
My son and I have been sharing a Steam account for years.
As he just turned 10, and literally all the Steam games, save for three, are his anyway I'm just going to give the account to him to keep. The only catch is that my Destiny account is tied to it.
This, normally, isn't a big deal. But there are rare occasions where it'll be 8:30 or 9 on a weekend and he'll be playing Garry's Mod and I'll pull out my laptop to play some Destiny and won't be able to. I imagine it'll only get worse as he gets older.
Family sharing is a no-go, as all his saved games are tied to my Steam account - if I make a new account I won't have my characters, and if I create one for him he'll lose all of his saves (and, honestly, it just makes more sense at this point for me to make my own new one)
So: anyone know if it's possible to move the save to a new account?
Edit: this is probably important: My account was originally created on the XBox. I used CrossSave to link my XBox account to my Steam account.

5 RepliesSince you are using your Xbox as the main cross-save account, the characters you are using are those of Xbox. Meaning, should you disable cross-save, you would not have those characters on Steam anymore (they'd then only be available on their original platform, Xbox). As for the transfer, this is not a service Bungie provides; no account data can be transferred to another account.
