A HUGE win for the community, although it took WAY too long and shouldn’t have been implemented in the first place.
Nevertheless, thank you Bungie for listening to your PvP community and not the bottom feeders that fought nail and tooth to ensure SBMM wasn’t removed despite its clear detriment to the game.
Now, I’d really like to see the faulty team balancing system addressed. This is the real reason stomps are so frequent, and it will continue to be until it’s fixed. I don’t wanna be back here fighting for CBMM in a year.

And now here we are🤷🏻♂️

I’m glad they got rid of SBMM...however the team balancing method they use is garbage. I’m a slightly above average pvp player but the game seems to think I’m much more skilled than i realize. It has so much faith in my abilities that it puts people who apparently play with their feet on my team and believes I alone can lead them to victory.

1 ReplyNow the community cries about CBMM. This forum is pure gold.

8 RepliesThe comments under this post 😂 i agree though sbmm needed to go
-
Now all we need is good team balancing lol. First 2 matches since the TWaB have been mercies.
-
1 ReplyHad quit since last season and was probably not going to come back until September but will buy the season pass now as a sign of support for removing SBMM. Thanks Bungie.

It is a blessing thats for sure. Got real old sweating every match. Players who didnt sweat before this patch came didnt experience the nonsense most of us dealt with.

1 ReplyI love it. Crucible is something I constantly avoid, being an above average player. My lobbies are regularly filled with teleporting asian and russian players and all my games take at least 10 minutes to queue. The mental and spiritual torture of the crucible is no more, I could not be happier.

1 ReplySBMM did nothing anyway, I would get matched with unbroken and flawless regularly. Good riddance.

5 RepliesEdited by an Ape with a d2 addiction: 6/12/2020 12:37:49 PMBig props for pointing out the lobby balancing. It's abhorrent in this game. Not even trying to be bombastic. It is that terrible. First day after SBMM went away and of 20-ish 6v6 games around 10 of those were either mercies or one sided stomps. The lobby balancing has always been horrenduous. SBMM partially hid the problem under a rug since shadowkeep, but if CBMM is here to stay for some time then I hope bungo fixes the balancing with priority. With it's current state I rather take the SBMM 10 minute queues and +250 average latency games over the constant stomps. The stomps are bad no matter which side I'm playing for. It's sorta silly bungo's ping ponging between SBMM and CBMM but the balancing hasn't been apparently touched this far. At least I can't remember TWABs / patch notes addressing it and been playing and reading them since january 2019.

They should cater towards the players that want to play pvp, rather than the players who can’t play it very well.

1 ReplyI might finally find a rumble lobby.
-
I just don’t want to play against people from South America or Asia when I’m in the US. Will this fix that?
-
3 RepliesYou wanted connection based MM and then complain that you have no parity in the teams.. You simply won't get both. Parity means skill based.
-
I’ve been pro SBMM for a while - gave it a go last night in the CB playlists and the overall experience was fine. It seemed like the matches were actually more balanced - competitive but fun.

14 RepliesWhat team balancing? You figuratively just did a happy dance because sbmm is gone. How in the heck do you expect them to balance teams without sbmm?
-
All the salt in this thread 😂

I rejoice with you brotha!

Ummmm.... I completely agree with everything you said! Very well written👍🏼

I am now finding matches in less than 2 mins. Love it.

🦀🦀SBMM IS GONE🦀🦀

5 RepliesThis is not a win for the community this is a win for streamers who can now steam roll everyone else.
-
44 RepliesHonestly there needs to be some form of SBMM, Otherwise the good players curb stomp the bad players and nothing changes. The bad players can’t improve as it’s a constant stomping while the good players have “fun” massacring noobs
-
7 RepliesTo begin with i'm a casual player. Yes i am! I had on average 18 kills in a match now i,m down to 7 if i'm lucky. Do you think that's fun, guess what it's not! So i don't even start to be your cannonfodder. I just quit play PVP just like most casual players will do. And guess what your games wil get sweaty all over again.

66 RepliesThis is the worst thing that Bungie could have done SSBMM made crucible fun for the average player. Now it is going back to stacked teams pub stomping
-
31 RepliesQuickplay all over again. The stat farming will start again, and player numbers will plummet...again.
