Bungie needs to change the pinnacle gear leveling up system because if you are a single player like most Destiny players are then you CAN NOT level up to 960. To be honest that is bull crap and Bungie is 100% being biased against single players and if they don’t fix it soon they will eventually get sued for being biased. Please Bungie fix this soon so a single player can get pinnacle gear on their own and get past 950 and get to 960.

I tend to agree somewhat duthchfury486, I'm a solo player too. I do play on teams in raids where teams are randomly selected by Destiny. I enjoy that but the bulk of my play is solo. Destiny does tend to restrict what I can do which means I miss out on a lot of campaigns. I enjoy playing Destiny for the creativity, design, world building which is top work from a design pov, and the sense of humour (if you whisper to the void etc). I would like it if Bungie could engineer a mode for solo players that could be selected at start-up, like in Halo - which I've played numerous times, a great family favourite. Being 77 yrs old, which doesn't really matter, means I've seen a lot of life, I write YA Sci Fi and draw. So game design really interests me, and story, so one of things that keeps me going is what the end game is going to be. As to game concepts, the game does have the usual tropes, grind your way through a bunch of enemy and kill the boss/s. Same old as in most games of this type, its a bit tired. But I think Bungie could still play a little more attention to solo players.

I’m a solo player and I’m almost at 960

1 ReplyYou know IB awards pinnacle gear...just for showing up. You can hit 960 kiddo.

That's the whole point of the current leveling system: 750-900: Any man, woman, child, pet cat, aggressive Roomba, or controller joystick stuck in a couch can hit this cap 900-950: Most players (including solo) with a few hours a week of playtime will eventually hit this cap, which allows them to easily tackle 99% of all content in-game 950-960: Accessible only to the elite as a separate path to grinding, as those playing 5+ hours/day would run out of anything to chase within a month --- Casual players are not supposed to be able to reasonably tackle the 960 level grind, because it was not made for you, nor are the 960+ activities designed around solo play. Just aim for 950, get pinnacle drops from Iron Banner when it comes along, and settle in, unless you want to find a Raid/Nightfall team. Also,
Bungie's Terms of Service give them effective immunity from lawsuits originating from the playerbase. They are too financially small a company to constantly swat away nuisance lawsuits, and if people getting banned "unfairly" have no chance at suing, a lawsuit about "intentional bias towards solo players" would get laughed out of every law office on the planet
1 ReplyIf your only playing solo content there is no reason to be 950+

1 ReplyBungie indeed never cared about solo players in D2. This is a fact. Damage ref favoring stacks, win/loss algorithm favoring stacks, team shooting, etc.
-
Currently no one can get to 960. People really need to realise 960 is just for those that really want to double down on power levelling. The artifact will get you to whatever power level you need. The 980 activities are purposefully over levelled, lile heroic menagerie, you aren't meant to be grinding up to 980.
-
I’d honestly be fine at 950. Based on what I’ve read about leveling and the higher difficulty activities, it’s not worth it

I don't remember bungie ever advertising solo play. In fact, quite the opposite, they advertised (and designed) destiny as a multiplayer game

2 RepliesWhy tf would they get sued for that 😂 Jesus Christ this is why we need Thanos
-
Buddy I’m sorry to say but most people arnt single players anymore. I know it sucks I miss out on a LOT of stuff because of this. Just gotta kinda suck it up, sorry man
-
1 ReplyWhy would you want to get to 960 if you only play solo? All endgame activities that this would benefit you are team based.

2 RepliesHaha ' sued for bias ' 😂😂😭😭

Kids stay off drugs and stay in school

Sueing over a multiplayer game because you play solo. Yeah see how far that gets you. 😂

2 RepliesThis again? Honestly, you just sound whiny because 1) it's 10 points 2) IB has 4 pinnacle bounties that are easily completed solo 3) Bungie JUST added solo que comp and Nightfall MM. 4) I'm pretty sure I'll reach at least close to 960 by end of season 5) Artifact adds as much as you can stand to grind bounties for. I'm currently at +14

It’s not possible to get to 960 even in a clan, There’s literally not enough drops this season to get there and that’s ignoring if you get double ups which you will. I wouldn’t be surprised if no one broke the 954 mark this season
-
Lol see you in 12 months when I hit max power without doing the endgame garbage
-
don't worry, no one can get to max level. it would take 4-6 months real time, way past season end
-
2 RepliesI'm a solo player and I'm 963. What are you talking about?
-
If all you’re going to do is play by yourself then that’s on you, you’ll have the monthly IB which will provide about 10 pinnacle rewards(4 right away and a new one every day). If you want to reach the pinnacle gear score of 960 then find a team and at least do the dungeon and nightfall.

2 RepliesBeen doing things solo and I'm already 950-960. My Hunter main is already 960 while my Titan already at 959 since I transfer gear and weapons and stuff. XD
