A serious warlcoks rant from a pvp perspective. It's no secret that warlocks are the least played class since d1. Not saying we're useless in pvp and things aren't good I feel gimped unless I play Titan or Hunter which by the way have dominated crucible. When something gets nerfed or re adusted the whole thing gets nuked. Time after Time everything about warlocks are neglected each twab proves that. Whenever warlocks are in the twab they get the least amount of buffs and the most amount of nerfs. Why is it warlocks since d2 have the slowest base melee speed for an uncharged melee when they're all the same range? Why is it warlocks have the shortest melee range and the slowest melee in the game? It's bad enough we have the worst jumps in the game and we're the slowest. Tied to the slowest movement without the aid of traversivse steps and dawnblade. We also have the worst jumps. Astrocytheverse doesn't fix the issue with blink and that's you can shoot the blink trail as you character is stretched and it'll count as a head shot. (Top Tree Daybreak) For a class focused on in air combat it surely hinders you in doing so. Why is it that hunters have better in air accuracy then entire subclass centered on in air combat? For me to reduce some sort of in air accuracy penalty I need to get a melee hit in. Gee I hope I don't run into a shotgunner. The in air accuracy penalty from getting a melee in from Swift Strike is almost unnoticeable. Which an Icarus grip you see results instantly the moment boots leave the ground. If only swift strike could also be activated from grenade hits as we we might actually see something there. Don't forget you have to make use of the worst jumps in the game both strafe or balanced jump which hinders the function of daybreak since it moves faster with burst. Which top tree doesn't grant tracking or extend duration. Icarus dash 7 solid seconds to a cooldown with no additional effects which by the way feels like an eternity. It's not like icarus dash can make me go invis, stop tick damage, break aim assist, condense my hit box, reload my gun, or give me an entire melee charge. It needs a cooldown of 3.2 seconds and can double dash when swift strike is active. The only thing top tree has is cooldown to melee and grenade when getting kills in the air. Why is it on super activation I get my abilities back when I get them back just by getting a kill from the air in super? It should blind nearby enemies when activating daybreak. Well of Radiance is getting a damage resistance nerf which makes no sense btw. It's not like I'm over here tanking everything like the good ole ward of dawn. Which you can't challenge without a suppressor grenade another super or tractor cannon. Currently slug shotgun will put you down, one sniper head shot puts you down so does high impact fusions and precision frame. But wait there's more. Pulses and scouts, pulse grenades, solar grenades, vortex grenades can put you down. I see an enemy well I challenge it I see ward of dawn forget. I Feel safer impaling someone with the sword thrust walking away and playing the rest of the map then I do standing in my well. (attunment of the sky) The super is the only thing going for it. There's no neutral play whatsoever! Phoenix dive is utterly useless in and out of super. When someone hears daybreak you betcha everyone is gonna run not sit there waiting for you to slam on top of them. Which has a long animation btw. Phoenix Dive out of supers has no purpose it has been nerfed the same time Wormhusk did as it literally grants the same effect. It literally doesn't matter how high up you go there's a cap now to health restoration. But it's okay I can use it every 5 seconds after floating in the air just to fall slower then the jump cancel of a regular warlocks jump. All it has is pve gimmicks fall down faster, turn vertical lifts into a poormans bounce house and not take fall damage. (chaos reach) still blinds the user all while having one of the lowest damage resistances. You'd think that being suspended and trapped in the air youd have a good fighting chance. Wrong you get shutdown effortlessly. if and only if ionic blink was tied to a jump option and not trapped on top tree stormcaller since we invented blink. Then this would benefit this super a lot. Cast chaos reach blink change direction once blink animation is done continue chaos reach. Ionic Trace will go the complete opposite direction as well. (attunment of conduction) The only thing wrong with it is jump cancels your attack which makes no sense as every other roaming super doesn't penalize you for jumping. Feedback should replace ionic blink. Ionic blink replaces either strafe or balanced glide. Feedback Getting hit by an enemy recharges and bottom tree stormcaller) Electrostatic Surge lost what made it viable back in d1. I don't care for the rift cooldown nor the super cooldown but enemies nearby when stormcaller is active would take damage giving it more offensive and defensive capabilities. Bottom tree is also effected by the jump cancelation of stormtrance. Rising Storm melee needs to grant the same range as amplitude. top tree nova bomb) chaos Accelerant doesn't work with charging scatter grenades. a charged scatter grenade should perform like the same benefits granted from nothing manacles. Entropic pull) grants a grenade cooldown from melee awesome so does impact momentum transfer which doesn't stack btw. It needs an additional perk tied to it. Entropic pull melee hits cool down nova bomb. nova warp) atomic breach melee isn't applying neither effects of Knock back or detonation which deaths that should be a trade are not. or the I'll just flat out lose the melee charge off of it to not have any effects. When nova warp super ends I can't fire my gun. I have to pull the trigger twice to be able to engage with my weapons. uncharged blasts from nova warp do little to no damage as well as the radius is inconsistent. This is also a huge disadvantage considering it's our best attack to deal with other roaming supers otherwise I need to charge up then detonate which the enemy has more then enough time to strike mutiple times. Nova warp needs a full blast detonation on super activation. it just can't contest other supers whatsoever. I have to work 10x harder to take out another super. Bottom Tree nova bomb) No secret is the worse shutdown super in the game. The moment I toss it gravity instantly takes effect. Yes it getting a buff what's this the 4th buff and it's still Will most likely be trash. While Devour is active, killing enemies extends it's duration and needs to grants increased melee speed, movement speed and recharges your grenade. I've you've read this I appreciate that. You might not agree but I'm sick an tired of warlocks being so pve driven and never getting buffs or beneficial changes. The only changes we seem to get are drastic nerfs and bungie neglects warlocks all the time. each twab proves that

  • I do agree with these issues with the warlock supers I main a titan but from time to time I do play on my warlock and the problems with the supers I've noticed to now when I do play on my titan or hunter as far as being on the recieving end of the warlock melee I lose the battles it could just be cause at most times my melee wont register the hit marker but as far as the problems with the supers for the warlock I agree they are a problem or the top tree nova not actually tracking like it should I completely agree.

    Seriously? Hand held supernova is the most effing op thing I've ever run against. No other class has a nade even close. You also can blink your way around the map. Your jump literally disappears! I see guys running this class dominating all the time. Oh did I mention a melee that snipes? No? Neither did you. In fact you left all of these op things out. Convenient.

    Typical someone who doesn't even have nova warp unlocked you should try it and see how easy it is to get shutdown. So you mean to tell me handheld nova is justification for the rest of the issues warlocks have been facing. Seems a bit biased. Funny how handheld nova is one of the best counter to shotgun's apes. The irony you claim op yet you run oem and striker. Yeah okay bit biased aren't you? Must be nice with all these buffs coming to sentinel as well.
