Hate to say this after Bungo did everything possible to this weapon to please the 'prodigals', but Ace of spades is so inaccurate for me, it's worthless. My aim is fine, i hit every Sturm shot perfectly, i even used green cannons with my noob Titan and they were fine. It could be the very high aim assist working against how i shoot, as i had the same trouble with Sureshot sights in D1. While everone was going crazy over 'godly' sureshot, i hated it and opted for Steadyhand. I'm not a top player at all but i've used every cannon since the reign of Thorn, and do know that if i can't even headshot Cabal with it, it'll surely get me killed in pvp. Anyone else experiencing this, or can anyone shed any light on it?

1 ReplyAce is not just a 140. It's more like a 110/130/140 sniper hc. It has bloom on it, but Ace has very manageable bloom. I'd say practice with it some more. It really is a good gun, but it takes some real practice to get down. My last match I played last night ended in a 43.0 with ace and a sniper.

1 ReplyEdited by Xen: 11/6/2018 9:08:47 PMYes, I play on xbox and can't roll with this gun in PvP, PvE I can do just fine... https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/249429434?page=0&sort=0&showBanned=0&path=1

1 ReplyI am the complete opposite, ace for me is my strongest HC and I struggled so much with sturm in all situations. If only ace dropped orbs I would use it.

Throw on a targeting helmet, it’ll help. Dexterity will also help make it feel better for some reason. Idk when i have my HC armors on, only 1 in 5 engagements I’ll feel like a crit should’ve landed. That said, try not to spam the max fire. The first 3-4 shots will be good but after that you’re playing with fire cuz of bloom
-
I love Ace in crucible. No Luna’s yet, but Ace, crimson, or trust are my go-tos.
-
It's the bloom. Absolutely ruins the experience of such an amazing gun.
-
Its garbage and/or bugged
-
It can be a little inconsistent on console. Pair it with hand cannon targeting or enhanced hct on your helmet.
-
Ace is probably the most accurate hand cannon I've ever used. The only time I miss shots is when my aim is off. Not sure what's happening on your end.
-
Feels wobbly.
-
Personally, I don’t use Ace much. I have always been drawn more towards 110 rpm hand canons like Duke and, before forsaken, Agamid.
-
Could be either that bloom hasn’t completely been removed from hand cannons or it’s just the inconsistency in hand cannon recoil in console. I’ve noticed it myself and so have some of the guys I’ve played
-
3 RepliesSounds like a bad case of bloom to me
-
Shoot it like sturm then. Pace those shots a bit more. You’ll get the feel for it then.

1 ReplyIn my experience Ace is the most consistent non 180 hand cannon by far. So much so that I don’t understand why anyone would run anything else than Ace or a 180 any time they’re using a handcannon if the goal is to win. You might just not be used to the recoil/kick, just give it some time.

11 Repliesace is one of the most accurate and manageable guns in the game. sounds like a user issue man.

If you’re on console try upping your sensitivity. I know a lot of people are against playing with a higher sensitivity but it allows me to correct recoil faster. I usually play on 4-5 but taking it up to 7 feels better when I use 140RPM Hand cannons. Another odd thing I do that helps me land crits way more is I treat my reticle like the Mida Multi Tool. I pull the trigger when the dot is just slightly above the head or resting on the very top. If you get flinched don’t try to correct as much. Flinch always resets your reticle at the head. In PVE I could rapidly pop a whole mags worth of crits into enemies but struggled in PvP. After using 180’s all the time, the 140-150s feel really weird. Just have to take the time to get the feel for the recoil again.

1 ReplyI seem to miss my headshots all the time :/
-
2 Replies140 hand cannons have an odd recoil pattern. It really starts to bother you after you've spent any amount of time 180 hand cannons like Trust which have awesome recoil patterns.
-
It seems that the more I try to shoot it fast, the worse it will become . Really don't know why but that's why i got outgunned by Trust or Luna Howl all the time. Also admit, I'm not good in PvP.
-
It’s a good gun, but the hit detection on console is meh, so sometimes it’ll feel like the strong gun it is, and other times it feels like crap. Then again, there’s also that bloom thing on console that’s why hand cannons aren’t as prominent in crucible as other weapons.

2 RepliesPve= I can shoot every thing and make them blow up with ace of spades Pvp= it's like shooting a wet noodle.
-
2 RepliesI’ve been using my “Ten Paces” a lot. I tried mixing it up the last couple of days and started using my Ace of Spades. I can’t believe how much I’ve been missing my shots with it. I’m glad to hear it’s not me.
-
I'm not saying that you're wrong, but I have the opposite opinion. When I switch from the Ace of Spades, back to my better devils; I feel like I can't land shots on my Devils. I think that the range on the Ace makes it stickier at distance. I love the Sturm, but I also mained it through the end of year 1 and have tons of time with it. I'm landing more headshots with it, but I'm probably just more comfortable with it. On the flip side, my buddy has hated the Ace since launch. He's in the same boat as you. He isn't landing shots and he can't decide if it's the recoil pattern or something else, but he's convinced something is wrong with it.
-
Agreed. Some games I’m a god. Others I can’t hit a thing

I love it, it's literally the only HC that feels good to me. It's just a shame that it's in the same slot as my dreaded venture so I don't use it often as I prefer dreaded.
