I don't get hate mail. But generally, they type so lamely, you can just go "Do you have hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia?" Time waster.

Depends. If they're angry at me, I just act like nothing happened. If they're criticizing a decision I made, I just go with their sarcasm or calmly argue my point.

If you know anything about the person sending the hate mail think of some spicy roasts to send back. If not, block and report them etc.

I typically just mess with them until we become friends. Keep the conversation entertaining and add (fairly obvious) hints that I'm not serious, no direct insults else I'll look like an immature child that can't take a bit of hate, try my best to manipulate the conversation away from anything upsetting, and apologize if it does turn out bad (it's happened a couple times). A lot of times it's just the game getting to them. I've been there before...

They usually get mad at the top on the team for "stealing" their kills, I just answer with, "Look who's talking ;)"

I just ask why they're so upset over a video game. Most of the time they don't respond. If they do it's usually something negative and just make them lool foolish.

I hardly ever get hate mail, but if I do, I either just ignore it or play along like: "Was the camping good?" "Oh, yeah. Want some s'mores?"
