The Last Iron Banner
I love the Destiny series but you guys couldn't do something a little more special? "Here's the last Iron Banner after over 3 years of nostalgia and history, today were giving you the hand cannon and sniper rifle". The whole thing is just slightly disappointing.
Edit 1: Wow, only 3 minutes in with 6 upvotes and tons of support, I was definitely not expecting this, thank you.
Edit 2: Holy shit, the amount of support is crazy, I haven't got any hate so far, even "butthurt" is supportive.

Edit 4: The inventory is apparently refreshing daily, so I'm gonna hold off on this post and wait, thanks again to everyone supporting this.
Edit 5: TheGreatNike has pointed out the timer hasn't been changed since RoI, no stock refresh

Not announcing the rewards in the TWAB led a lot of people to believe it would be a special final Iron Banner. I had high hopes of at least a bigger range of Y2-3 weapons and armor being potential drops Instead NOTHING special. They quite often do not have any clue regarding the expectations they create. I'm disappointed

2 RepliesYeah Good ole Bungie logic here. We're so concerned with figuring out how to disappoint the players in D2, that we forgot to come up with a cool way to send off IB in D1. I too thought that they would at least have all y3 IB gear up for rewards.

If I'm lucky I get to rank 5 on the weekends, so this means I only can grab around 3 different weapons and miss out on all the things that are locked behind the ranking system!? Who at bungie thought this would be a great idea? Damn they never disappoint.....ehm always disappoint.

So it turns out that what Bungie did do to commemorate the final IB of D1 was omit the rewards from the preview in the TWAB and not bother updating the Destiny events ribbon for it. So dissapointing...

1 ReplyWas never expecting anything special but will admit I actually thought something was coming when they didn't post the weapon/gear info in the weekly news thread. Why tease us or do that? Previewed the rewards for ever then for the last IB they don't...they planted the seed of hope by making it look like a surprise was coming. Oh well. My kids disappoint me everyday so why should this be any different. *joking...my kids are only a mild disappointment.

However, if bungie would of put say like the [b][i][u]ashravens flight[/u][/i][/b] back into the loot pool or some old weapons it would of been cool to grind for. 6 RepliesSorry. The timer hasn't changed for IB, for the past IBs (From RoI I believe) It's always been on a 24h stock refresh. I'd be VERY surprised if the weapons or armor changed. Most players won't reach rank 5 in a single day to get rewards they want. ~[i]TheGreatNike[/i]

Im really disappointed with this "last iron banner" stuff.. I figured they would add some special stuff, make it worth while in playing. But its just control, and full of laggers like always.. Get the same shitty weapons and armor.. I played a little bit, and then quit, its really not worth it.

Doesn't look like it's going to be any different than any other IB.
