The Last Iron Banner
I love the Destiny series but you guys couldn't do something a little more special? "Here's the last Iron Banner after over 3 years of nostalgia and history, today were giving you the hand cannon and sniper rifle". The whole thing is just slightly disappointing.
Edit 1: Wow, only 3 minutes in with 6 upvotes and tons of support, I was definitely not expecting this, thank you.
Edit 2: Holy shit, the amount of support is crazy, I haven't got any hate so far, even "butthurt" is supportive.

Some one needs to ask Bungie "WHY". Why not make D1 a "pay to play". Set up Iron Banner and other specialties as 99 cents for 10 plays. I mean it's all programmed servers, so once it is set up they could be on a 28 day rotation. They already have the Silver Purchase setup in place to get money. I mean Destiny could go on forever with almost no effort.......and make money in the process. What about people who just bought the game from Game Stop today? Do they get cheated out of Iron Banner (yes I know that it might have to be 3V3 because few people will be playing) but this is all programmable simplicity.

1 ReplyI would like to see some monthly PvE events with destiny 2. We have had what, 30+ iron banners(PvP), 1 crimson days(PvP), and 2 SRLs(PvP, but with bumper cars instead of bullets), only one queen's wrath event(mostly PvE, but there were a few PvP bounties with it as well), 3 festival of the lost(PvP and PvE), and I'm excluding the dawning and age of triumph since those were more or less shifts in the game similar to how the expansions worked out.

5 RepliesIt's a bad iron banner. I always wonder how bad the connections can be and I'm always surprised. The lag is just horrible. I did a fist of panic and killed two people that weren't even there. Blinking all over the place and assists that happen 30 seconds after I shot someone.

3 RepliesSo far I've gotten 3 titanium orchids, 2 laughing hearts, 1 oh the hand cannon. And alot of rage from 3vs6 matches, try hards, and redbars. Great going bungie. As a side note, I've been trying to get that blasted scout rifle, distant star, since I first laid eyes on it. And so far I've never gotten it to drop for me, and was never able to play iron banner when it was one of the rewards. So im a bit salty that I've gotten every freaking weapon EXCEPT the one I wanted. They really shoulda put all the weapons in the vendor for purchase this time around.

Iron banner has been good to me lately almost no lag surprisingly and I got the hand-cannon which came with luck in the chamber and explosive rounds which is kinda fun to run around with.

I joined a game were it was me and 1 other player against an entire team of 6. Luckily I joined near the end so didn't have to wait to long for it to be over and overs joined after but it was far to late. I just sorry for the guy I joined, couldn't of been fun

So it's official, Bungie is abandoning Destiny 1 once Destiny 2 comes out? Guess I shouldn't be surprised, given how they handled legacy consoles. Now I feel like even more of a moron for upgrading. Yeah, I got Rise of Iron. But I also got a ruined Crucible two months later, lost the ability to raid when LFG switched over to a site my smartphone can't handle, and now what might very well be a dry well with D2. Wonder what they'll be chucking at us next?

1 ReplyI got into it yesterday for a bit. Would have like to get some older IB drops like a new Finala's Peril or stuff like that. Ultimately I had the best time after someone reported a lag-user and then we killed him maybe 6-7 times in a row. Still fun though but it wouldn't have killed them to add the old gear to loot drops. Sigh... oh well.

5 Repliesbasically bungo is trying to tell us, "it is what it is"... lag, cheaters, mods, rewards are a joke, meta weapons, etc, and D2 wont be much different from beta, they couldnt fix D1 in 3 years, dont expect a miracle for D2, from beta to actual game in a month left.

2 Repliesgot to be the worst IB so far for me. got into a run of matches that were wash outs, meaning I joined the losing side everytime, as in halfway through the match losing, go to orbit just to enter another in the same scenario. so I turned it off went and watch some DVR'd stuff on TV instead. Maybe today will be different. Only doing it cause for one I actually like IB and two my warlock has one remaining exotic class item to get. 6 wins away.
