Like for Year 3 Icebreaker, Make it happen Bungie!
Please Bungie bring it back, it was and still is my favorite weapon. I'd love to use it again. Maybe even make an Iron version.
Edit: And please, for the love of god bring it back to its previous state.
Edit: Whilst you're at it, gimme back my blue flame.

Bump....the only thing keeping it out of the current game is being able to have unlimited ammo in trials. But I don't care...BRING IT BACK!!!!

I started playing this game from day one. Icebreaker was my second exotic. Miss that gun dearly. Still remember wrecking with it in VoG. Hate that PVP got it nerfed. It was a gun made for PVE. Only ones you'll see opposed to it returning are probably mainly PVP players.

1 ReplyAll things considered, things seem like they are in a good spot where Icebreaker would no longer have so strong a spot in the average players arsenal. It doesn't seem like it would do any harm to have it back up.

18 RepliesPlease no. It's slow, boring sniping manifested into a single weapon. It allows exploits in PvP and PvE It encourages camping, disincentivising fast paced play and actively encouraging players to sit back and exploit AI glitches to win automatically. Maybe. If: 1. ALL AI movement constraints were removed, so they can actually counter attack and winkle you out of your camping spots. Significant boost to enemy snipers while the player is using Icebreaker may also be necessary. and 2. It was banned from PvP, or else severely reduced in effectiveness to reflect the unlimited ammo. Really though, even the above are unlikely to work. An unlimited ammo sniper rifle is fundamentally incompatible with the design of Destiny.
