If you think shoulder charge is op, go play a different game.
Striker is the only class with a 1hk ability, BUT
-Nightstalkers are the only ones with an evade that cancels tracking
-Sunsingers are the only ones who can self resurrect
-Defenders are the only ones with a grenade that cancels abilities
-Bladedancers are the only ones with built-in quickdraw
I could go on, but you get the point.
Every class is unique. [u]That's why we have so many subclasses.[/u]
If you die from a shoulder charge, you got outplayed.
Adapt to it, or go play as a Striker.

Was nobody able to counter a shoulder charge before all the subclass changes? I don't remember reading anything in any patch notes about radar and half-decent reaction time being nerfed.

2 RepliesDon't see how people complain about shoulder charge. If you have any reaction time at all you can shotgun them out of it. It's also a very high risk-high reward option for Titans.

1 ReplyImo, unless you play all classes regularly, it's basicly side talk. If you dont play as a striker and only play one gaurdian hows is any argument viable? Play the class. Learn how to counter. Get out of your comfort zone. It'll be ok.

4 Repliesyeah look shoulder charge is op but sunsinger get a self res.... every class has its things, they nerf shoulder charge and something else will hit the spotlight... if a shoulder charge kills me I usually just go ahhh -blam!- I should learned the after the first time that striker titan came running at me, then try and outplay them... which doesnt happen that often cos im not super good lol

The other classes have been nerfed to the point where the Titan is now the strongest. The Titan was the least used class in Crucible. Bungie decided that the Titan should be used more. Shoulder charge wasn't an issue prior to the latest update. It is now because the other classes are weaker in comparison. The balance you speak of does not exist in this episode of "play the game the way the developer tells you to".

Your infinite 1hk melee is in the position of predator for nightstalkers, which is dependant on your super and equally underpowered perks for the other subclasses. Sorry but you kinda failed with that comparision. It's like me saying that shadestep didn't deserve a nerf because warlocks can chain damage with their melees... uhh what? Totally unrelated comparison. But I mean yeah, by your logic I'd be down to make shoulder charge dependant on a full super hahaha.

I agree 100%. Every subclass and character has their own unique build. Yeah, of course getting killed by a shoulder charge is so frustrating but you can deal with it. I personally think the Titan NEEDS the shoulder charge as a one hit kill. Mainly because the Titan, at least for me seems so slow and sluggish compared to hunters and warlocks. The Titan melee/punch is unreliable for me, so shoulder charge is my go to choice as far a Titan melee' are concerned.
