These class changes have made me decide I'm not going to buy any further destiny expansions.
I've been through every single buff and nerf and watched bungie fumble and play deaf to tons of ridiculous things in the past and it's never going to end. People will be like "don't overreact you've not played the new patch yet". I've done things times for countless patches before to try it out. Now, I'm sure whatever new patch they come up with will have some sort of meta anyway, but I no longer have an interest to spend a month adapting to it.
The fundamental idea of balancing things based on how the majority of people use them is utterly wrong. You never balance things by what an average player uses but by what the top players use and abuse and even then if only a few of them do it it's because of their skill . Bungie need to learn how to balance things but I'm now 100% sure they just want to cater to complaints on the forums . Destiny doesn't really have a thriving competitive scene (surprise surprise).
It's been fun and ive not regretted anything about destiny but these constant sea of such massive changes leaves me with no interest in learning some techniques and play styles and set of weapons only to be nerfed a few months later.
Now the nerfs are to a point where bungie admits sunsingers are not outperforming other classes but we're going to nerf cuz they create frustrating encounters. Lol. Okay. The bladedancer and gunslinger nerfs are pretty unwarranted (except maybe fixing hit box on backstab)
I was on the brink of whether I should switch to a game like overwatch and this just sealed the decision for me. So I thank you for that. Overwatch won't be perfect I know but it's just time to move on... at least I don't have to grind and wait infinitely on RNG if they nerf your hero. You instantly switch. Plus its a PvP focussed game.
Good day, maybe someday you'll learn that you don't just alter subclasses. Its not like everyone has alternate classes to switch to thanks to your incredibly monotonous grinding system to level up and get all decent exotics required. I have all 3 classes but don't like all of them equally to bother playing something I don't enjoy
I won't be reading many replies as it'll just be people trolling as always. But hey at least we all can express our views here.
Good bye bungie, I'll remain a fan of your game but not frustrate myself further with trying to be good at a game that actively wants to destroy anything the player learns to get better.

2 RepliesEdited by Edgy Goat: 6/15/2016 10:14:09 PMTL/DR: I hate change and am leaving because I didn't get my way. Also, the fact that you are a day 1 player doesn't mean anything to any of us.

you'll be back...

Left a while back... come here and play better games...

I agree with you. I'm a day one player also and at first, I thought the changes to weapons was a good idea as you learnt to use other weapon types and it kept Destiny from becoming boring but now they are making these changes too often and it's becoming stale as Bungie aren't introducing enough new weapons. I was going to buy the next DLC but I'm not sure anymore. Bungie lack of communication is becoming a joke. How often do you see them reply to criticism, frustration or anger on their Forum? I've never witnessed it. Hope you enjoy the next game you decide play. All the best.

Bruh, Titan fall 2, no other games will be needed
-
Same..... with two community mangers bungie doesn't even have the decency to respond to post. They rarely do.

You are not alone. I'm also reconsidering where I put my dollars going forward. BF 1 looks very interesting, COD in Space (Infinite) looked pretty cool too (and has vehicles I can get into and shoot with) and TitanFall 2 will likely be a total blast with Regional Dedicated Host Servers, as it had them back in 2014. The Hunter Nerfs (I have a 335 Titan, Warlock and Hunter - so I know them intimately) make both Blade Dancer and GunSlinger far less fun to play with. And the continuous lag in Crucible (I get 200+ ms of lag - feels like I'm wading through sewage when I play Crucible) because I'm matched with someone in Antarctica is a sad joke. It isn't my connection, as not other game I play handles like this crap and I rarely get lag like this on Patrol, Strikes or Raids.

8 RepliesEdited by destroyer404: 6/15/2016 8:43:22 PMDont worry, all these kids who dont want to read and accept the fact that bungie is shit will know soon enough when they use their moms credit cards to buy the new expansion and find out it has no content.

1 ReplyDon't think anyone even finished the 1st paragraph. No need to cry over a game kid.
-
The first sentence was enough....no need for 8 additional paragraphs. It's just a video game.
-
Who cares, bungie doesn't. I hate these posts so much.
-
Cool story bro.
-
That's fine point taken but who gives a -blam!- move on. Last week I played a different game but I didn't think I needed to tell everyone I was a day one player.

Yeah our numbers are def thinning. I've taken a break from destiny to dark souls now I'm back again. If my friends didn't play I probably wouldn't either... But I'm still sticking around for now

4 RepliesAs a hunter main I don't think the nerfs were unnecessary
