Am considering moving to a shitter broadband provider because it definitely seems to help when it comes to playing destiny!!!

It's mainly bungie they won't fix their damn game they say unplug the Internet and try again! DAMIT BUNGIE FIX YOUR GAME
-
This lol

My friend and I are consistently red bared. both of us are highly skilled. Yet I am always top 3 and he is most often bellow. It's all how you react to it and know how to play against lag
-
14 RepliesMy son purposely had my play Netflix on my laptop while he played trials..
son of a bitch went flawless, twice with a redbar
-
Ever notice how red bar players are only a thing in Destiny? Literally the worst 'net code' I've experienced in recent years and on a big high profile AAA shooter. Battlefield 4 was horrible during its in initial release, but they turned that nonsense around and now it's connections are excellent. Destiny PvP will never be fixed unless they go dedicated.
-
11 RepliesI'm also wondering why people are allowed to play an entire match with a red bar connection. Plenty of other games will freeze people in place and/or remove them from the match if their connection dips too low for too long. If Destiny did the same it would save a lot of matches.
-
Haven't played in forever because they brought back sbmm.
-
6 RepliesI will report every red mother..er.. Especially if he's on top of the score board. ..
-
I don't see them at the top often but I do see a lot of bullshit that keeps me from being higher on it
-
Being red is a bitch, on my screen I'm hiding, on my opponents screen and the server I'm still in the open, means I get shot through walls a lot. I get assists up to 30 seconds after Iv died, I get a lot of postmortem's, getting a 5 kill streak is a real accomplishment. The list goes on, the sad part is, lag was almost unheard of in year 1. When Bungie added SBMM (not a totally bad thing), they changed some settings on their servers (this was the mistake), this screwed up everyone's connection and gave us the lag fest we have today.
-
Funny thing is, I always have a better k/d when I have a better connection.
-
That's not always the case. I had few matches in IB where I was red barring cause my connection was terrible. People were teleporting everywhere, weren't taking damage, etc. It was like everyone was lag switching, except it was me. And I went a combined 8-43 or something ridiculous...
-
To answer your question No. I have a shitty internet connection so I'm mainly affected by this. People shoot through walls, one shot me, come back to life (not warlocks) and melee me only to die 20 seconds later by my melee. Lagging is a rough life
-
Um... no? But I haven't ventured into Trials yet. Apparently full of DDOS'ing cheaters!
-
A redbar shouldn't be on the top, because they should be lagging to the point they shouldn't be able to shoot without teleporting. When i see a redbar on top i hunt for them. If they can kill me and they teleport around my crosshair or bullets i report. No questions.
-
1 ReplyRed bars usually are not that great IMO, but they provide a valuable asset to the team they are on. Cant tell you how many times I have been killed while shooting at a red bar (with no luck hitting them) and having their team take advantage of the distraction to pile up the kills.
-
Yes .
-
I'ts because in Destiny, the worse your connection the better bonus you receive BUT WAIT THERES MORE! If you are red bar you don't get shit, -blam!- YOU BUNGIE.
-
Honestly I have red barred a bit but it doesn't end up with me getting top of the leader boards, more like getting shot through walls.... And killed without line of sight
-
11 RepliesRed bars doesn't necessarily mean lag, nor does lag mean red bars. Shut the -blam!- up and realise that maybe they just play better than you.
-
3 RepliesPlayed against a Titan. He was a real bandit. Lagging and teleporting all over the map. I guess someone reported him because later that day he was doing the same thing under a different gamer tag. Cheaters will cheat.
-
1 ReplyWas in a hotel for 3 days, only option was to tether. (Or not play at all) Being red-bar helped me in no way, shape or form. It made the game much harder to play. My only conclusion is that people who red-bar and lead the table ARE actually cheating.
-
The red bar perk never works for me. I win/lose gun fights as often as I ever do. Maybe I'm not lagswitching correctly.
-
Not all the time but when it is and their leading by a large margin, you almost definitely have a cheater on your hands.
-
No...

When people form parties, theres normally red bars. It your connection to the game. Ive joined games where I red bar. I have 100mbs internet, with the hardwire and custom settings fine tuned.
