Why was I born in this cursed generation? There are so many idiots in it.
For example:
In my history class we were learning about Miranda rights and how they were created. If you didn't know, Miranda rights were put in place when the court ruled that Ernesto Miranda had been pressured into admitting to -blam!- and killing an 18 year old girl. A girl in my class asked why he was arrested and after my teacher told her she replied with "what's wrong with that, she was eighteen so it was legal" I was about to kill myself when I heard her say that. My teacher told her that it's not funny to make a joke like that thinking that the girl was joking, she wasn't.
Yes, I know this isn't anything shocking but still. How can there be people so stupid?

I assume all of the rude comments are of people in my generation and feel offended by this.
I really wasn't expecting this post to get this much attention. Most of my posts just die off quickly. Seeing how most people on this site are in my generation I think some of them have a case of the butthurt.
Applause for the ones sharing their own stories.

Look your not going to change this generation by complaining, im 15 im not on any social media ( parents wont allow me ) Im very intelligent ( A+ B+ on nearly every test ) so were not all stupid bud
-
1 ReplyActually being able to hold an intelligent conversation is sometimes hard that's days...... It's really depressing to think how much worse the next generation will be.....
-
I've seen people older than me who made me really wonder how we've come this far as a species. Don't worry about your generation, which I'm probably a part of. Each wave of people has an amazing amount of idiots.

Why does my generation bitch so much? For real?

6 RepliesThis isn't as stupid but I have a story In my geography class, my teacher has maps with numbers on them and we have to call them out as the country. The highest number might be around 17. He calls out what's at 14 and everybody answers right except the know it all in the back. The know it all then goes on saying,"Oh, I thought that 1 was a 7 so it looked like 74"(Idiot). I was like,"Why the -blam!- would there be a 74 just in the middle of the freaking map?!". This isn't the first time he's been stupid -He said,"I hate your shirt" to the superintendent -He said,"I love your shirt" to the geography teacher...twice in one day -He sings on the bus -He dances on the bus -He thinks everybody likes him -Lastly, he's going after senior girls...really. He's a freshman, first you should get your own class to like you before you get the senior class.

5 RepliesOh please give me more anecdotes separating yourself from a perfectly fine group. There is nothing wrong with "your generation," which I assume is late middle school or early high school, judging by the fact that you're at the Miranda rights. Stop being myopic, you sound foolish. Instead of calling her stupid, teach her. Be constructive, or else you're just a part of the problem.

1 ReplyI feel you, most people now a days are idiots. Not saying I'm that smart, but damn how stupid can you be?
-
2 RepliesTo be fair, I know a lot of people who have gone into teaching at various levels and only 2 of them I can think of are fit to do so. Also back when I was in school, there was a culture of the less you know, the cooler you are. I'm above average intelligence but ridiculously lazy and didn't bother trying in school. Went to college and dropped out because it didn't interest me. I trained to be a joiner(carpenter), absolutely love it and bought my own home last year (at 25) because I could. It was only when I was out of the education system did I start learning for fun, becoming extremely interested in the natural world. The point I'm making is, people are a lot less stupid than you think, but if they see school as a social club rather than an institute of learning, there isn't a great deal you can do. Edited by Luxfore: 5/5/2016 3:30:29 AMCorrection. Why are people so stupid? Seriously, has anyone else seen a rapid decline in people's I.Q. across the nation in recent years? It's scary.

At least they didn't ask if Alaska is a state

I had a person in my class who couldn't read the word our

Instant access to social media with all manner of computer photo, video, and audio applications available that lead to immense amounts of time lost watching really, really stupid things.
