I'd like to be able to toggle it. Would make it much easier to play during the weeks my friends are on night shifts.

1 Replyoptional.

Yes and it would be glorious!

Matchmaking? No. An area In game, where you can go to find a raid team, yes that would be a much needed addition to the game so you aren't required to go to outside sources to find a group (not that it's that hard anyways)
-
I think that Would be a great idea. Then beginners would actually get to run the boards without getting booted because we don't have a specific sniper or something. Yes I am speaking from experience. I have yet to be able to finish a vog. Or knights raid because of this specific issue.
-
Won't make a difference to me because I will continue to use lfg
-
1 ReplyIt should be like PoE, where normal mode has optional matchmaking and hard mode requires a fireteam. That way people could grind normal raid, adding people and leveling up until they're ready for hard mode.

Edited by EARWAK3R: 3/26/2016 10:49:40 PMMatchmaking, no. It would fail. There would obviously be some groups who found success. But they would be the small exception to the rule. The bad experience for begginers could put them off trying a raid again or get the wrong idea of how a well communicated and organised raid should function. That said, i think a good middle ground would be something like the bounty board but for lfg in game. You list requirements, people click to join and away you go. Imagine a room system like they use in monster hunter 3 ultimate. It worked great.

3 RepliesEdited by Dooodley: 3/25/2016 6:09:11 PMDefinitely yes and I've yet to see a valid point against it. It's usually just "it wouldnt work". Don't trust it, don't use it - simple as that. I'm never going by any requirements in #LFG and that has for some reason always worked. MM would allow me to skip that inconvenient step, while still being matched with the same type of people.

21 RepliesHow the -blam!- is this even a debate? For 99% of those who are opposed to it your arguments are always 'scrubs, afk'ers, 290's, trolls - OMG it's the end of the -blam!-ing raid and now the sky is falling and the world shall end in darkness and eternal wailing!" Idiots! You are the people who put together a 6 man team for the raid BEFORE you do the -blam!-ing raid. Allowing matchmaking for the raid - listen carefully, now - won't -blam!-ing affect you in any -blam!-ing way! If there are people who are willing to go with raid matchmaking, and the 'variables' that come with it, instead of getting a full team together beforehand then the rest of you just -blam!- off and let them do it. It's really none of your business and it doesn't Impact you in any -blam!-ing way whatsoever. Keep getting your full teams together before launching the raid. Matchmaking won't even apply to you. How stupid are you people? Feel free to get all salty on me. Moron salt is the saltiest salt. Mmmmmmmm. Stupid

OPTIONAL matchmaking should be added for those who wish to use it. If you don't want to, then that's fine, because it's OPTIONAL. Sometimes things happen, like your friends aren't on or you don't want to deal with 3rd-party LFG sites, so you should have the choice to jump right into a raid. If you always raid with friends, then good for you, you won't have to use OPTIONAL matchmaking and it won't affect you.

An in game LFG would be the best way to go about it. Why bungie made a social game where only social features are emoting, t-bagging, and shooting, I have no idea
-
It would be good because options, the people saying no wouldn't have to use it.
-
What do you guy's think yes or no?
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Matchmaking for Raids would be utterly toxic; it would be bad for the individuals that used it, and bad for the community as a whole.
-
Then people would make friends to avoid playing with idiots and bungie would remove it cause it wouldn't be used as often as they predicted.

Yes cause it wouldnt bother anybody and also if every person entering raid matchmaking had a mic. Also have the option to kick people by majority vote.

-
No, because AIDS.
-
Edited by YB NeverWipeAgain: 3/25/2016 12:39:43 AMNo it would be full of trolls and people who don't know what to do
-
Always since the beginning. As an option. We don't all have to be try hard, Flawless Raiders to get it done. Plenty of us just want to have fun, finish the story and earn cool stuff.
-
Of course yes. You're always doing raids with fresh people who lie their way into groups anyway.
-
Just no
-
More people would raid. Period.

I think there should be an ingame LFG or something, but no MM. Nobody communicates in matchmaking strikes or PvP and that's kinda essential. Not to mention most problems with MM strikes will happen in MM raids, so keep that in mind.
