Division devs openly mock destiny/deej
Over on the greener side of the fence the entire next year has been spelled out with timelines for dlc's(not bullshit ones, ones with actual content/raids)....all within the first week of the games release. Worth pointing out several game breaking glitches have been fixed and weapon nerfs are not over the top. Input from the players has been taken seriously and several of the concerns brought forth have been implemented into the game either already or with the patch in april(player trading within your squad). Did i mention the first two dlc's are 100% free to everyone who owns the game(both have a new raid each)? i know destiny has it's fans and they seem to hate the division with a passion but can any of you honestly say bungie has ever been anywhere close to that transparent about their plans for the future? After all this time dealing with bungie and deej's double speak nonsense it's a breath of fresh air to feel like the devs over at ubisoft actually give a shit....
Everyone always talks about the destiny "killer" when it comes to games but the reality for myself and many others is what really kills destiny is the way deej/bungie handles themselves in regards to the player community. They clearly do not give a crap about anything but money and will string you all along for as long as they can, charge money for whatever they can, lie to you the players, lie to their employees, STEAL from their employees and force them to take the issues to court....
How the hell can anyone defend a company who represents itself this way? The only way to change anything in todays gaming market is to vote with your wallet....don't give them another dime, they don't deserve it.

3 RepliesFor as bad as Bungievision is to its player base the game itself did contain some good gunplay and mechanics- hopefully this motivates Bungievision to do the right thing with Destiny 2 and actually release a complete product at launch- then add DLCs later on. Hopefully everyone learned their lesson the first time and DOES NOT preorder Destiny 2...wait for the initial reviews atleast.

I loved Destiny, and year 2 confirmed my fears when they announced the "Gally nerf" and 2.0 weapons balance before TTK was released. Destiny has been all about grinding for gear, only to see all your hard work pissed down the drain. Etheric Light was a great and welcome addition that appeared to solve the whole "my gear is obsolete" issue, but Bungie destroyed that quick. Destiny and Division aren't even in the same ballpark as far as games go and shouldn't be compared. All I know is that I feel like I'm better rewarded playing The Division.

I used to be like you, try to have a serious topic, even in regards to great ideas for this game, all were met with crickets and douchebags. Also, click bait only makes it worse, even when you have intent to open minds. Instead of few replys, you get a bunch of hater replies. That, is the only difference in your tactic.

15 RepliesWith [i]real[/i] QA, those glitches and weapon issues should not have been in the game in the first place. I can only assume devs are "testing" the game under their own rules instead of being the complete dickbags real gamers are. Not to mention going Rogue in the DZ is next to pointless which is why people abuse exploits to force others to go Rogue. You can go Manhunt and make 2,000 DZ creds and [i]zero[/i] DZ rep, but if you die you lose a [i]huge[/i] chuck of DZ credits and rep. There was also the excessive nerf to Phoenix Credits. Sure, 10-15 was a lot on a drop, but 1-3 is goddamn ridiculous. Why even farm adds now? There's literally no point. There's also no "craft all" feature. Turning 100s of mats into upgraded mats is tedious as hell at a 5:1 ratio going one at a time. How does this get missed? Don't even get me started on how uninspired Challenge Mode is. All they did was make every add yellow. They're just tanks with incredibly high DPS. There could have been modifiers or entire change-ups to the mission structure (think Cleaners in the Lincoln Tunnel). Instead, Ubisoft took the easy way out. There's also the lag and poor servers. There have been multiple times I would drop a sticky bomb on another player and not do damage, yet they would start bleeding. Clearly my sticky bomb hit, but the main explosion never counted. I did this on a group entirely intending to kill them and go Rogue. It did zero damage and still forced Rogue on me. Just because they have a roadmap and fixed one weapon that should have been noticed well before launch does not excuse them from any other major issues.

tbh Bungie could do with a good roasting, they've literally done a Rareware. I'm disappointed you lied with this title fam. Deej has nothing to do with it though, he can't really voice his true opinion of the game/company in general without being dropped on his head. He deserves the flack he got from the 2013/2014 incidents, but that's it.

1 ReplyThe most important distinction for me is that one of these games is on PC, and the other is not. It makes the decision that much easier, when it comes to deciding which one I'll probably be spending more time on. I've had my fun with Destiny, but now that there's an alternative on the platform that I prefer, I don't see myself returning to Destiny if I decide to hop on the Division train.

1 ReplyI don't think it's so much as them openly mocking bungie/deej [far from it] as more likely they watched destiny/bungie for the past year and half and have learned from bungie's mistakes. In one of their developer podcasts ( I don't remember exactly which one, some time in late November if I recall.) They freely admitted to playing a lot of destiny and enjoying it. I think it shows in the development of the division. I think it my be safe to assume they viewed destiny through both the lenses of gamer and developer. I still like destiny. I love the universe bungie created. I sincerely hope they make the next one bigger and better and learn from the mistakes they made. But let me blunt here, there are many design choices they made that left us scratching our heads. The current content, particularly PvE, is tapped out. Hopefully bungie has huge plans for Destiny 2 and when they announce the release I'll likely be one of the first in line to play.

It is annoying seeing Dividiots acting like attacking Desticles like it is the only way to feel good about themselves and their subpar game. Both games and their fans are stupid. Destiny could have been an epic game, but that got snuffed by Activi$ion. The Division was ruined by Poobisoft, a bland story, and having gameplay and setting that don't work well together.
