What If Defenders Could Fire From Inside Their Bubbles?
We've always had to exit the safety of our bubbles to shoot our enemies, or wait for them to try to kill us from inside. But what if we didn't have to, how would that affect the game?
Edit: Suggestions say that there should be an Exotic armor/weapon that has this ability exclusively. Nice.
Also considerable: Switch that with being unseen from outside the bubble. It'd be harder to kill the Defender if you try to rush them.

What if it was a bubble upgrade, so it replaces one of the buffs

As a defender, I find this idea is terrible with just being able to shoot out due to the overpowered potential. An alternative is only letting primaries shoot out of the bubble with a 25% damage reduction, but you can also shoot allies and give them an overshield. To prevent op potential with the shield, as soon as you shoot someone it gives them a 45 second timer that prevents them from being buffed with the shield again. This overshield would be around the same as blessings of light, but cannot be stacked with blessings.

Mained a Defender Titan exclusively to rank 5 in IB. Earned my Living Wall emblem during all the fun. With the new buff to recharging grenades and melee, it is now my favorite subclass. I love these ideas. Bungie please show us bubble butts some more love!!

7 RepliesI mean armor of light kind of makes it hard to kill anyone in the bubble with anything other than a high impact sniper rifle but if you come out of the bubble and get sniped right away that is kind of your own fault. What would be funny is if the bubble was solid and people who arent your team mates cant even enter or pass through it.

2 RepliesI wouldn't say let defenders shoot from the bubble but I think the user should be able to throw their grenades from inside the bubble and have the grenade not be confined by the bubble so if I see a stormcaller or Sunbreakers coming at me in super form I should be able to throw a suppression grenade and have it leave the bubble without me jumping out of it.

That would be great but you would have to decrease the duration of the bubble. Maybe disappear 5 seconds after the first shot was fired.

1 ReplyHow about this - an exo armor that grants: Friendly fire can pass through bubble, but 50% of damage is applied to the bubble, and 50% to the target. Bubble collapses when its HP are done. So the more you take advantage of it, the shorter the bubble lasts, and no OHK's from inside a bubble due to 50% nerf. Also, if using power weapons inside the bubble, it will collapse faster still.

Okay this is I see this working you mobility would have to be slowed so that you could only walk slow paced. Weapon damage would have to be cut by at least 35% and instead of the bubble blocking damage it would reduce it by 45%. That is all or not moving the bubble but being able to shoot out of it with the same stats but honestly it would change to the super altogether.

3 RepliesHow about an exotic Armor that makes it so no ammo is used when in the bubble. Would allow you to spam Shotgun or sword without fear while inside your super. Also means they may rework Immobius to make it, well, useful.
