What primary do you use for Pve
I'm still looking for a good non exotic so i can use my sword I was thinking the imago loop hand cannon or a AR

Pretty much everything. Because running the same gun all the time is boring as hell.

Most scout rifles with the right perks or a scope you like will do the job very well. For PvE, don't be afraid to mix it up and experiment with all types of primaries. You may find your play style lines up better with something different than the favored choice. You really can't go wrong with the vendor Hung Jury, but others are out there waiting to tear up those foes.

There are several scout rifles with similar potential but only one you can buy from a vendor any time with a great roll, Dead Orbit's Hung Jury.

3 RepliesYou're best off choosing a solid scout and pulse to switch between. I use the vendor Hung Jury and the Smite of Merain when I'm not running an exotic primary. Hand cannons and auto rifles sadly cannot compete with pulses and scouts right now. Hand cannons aren't exactly bad, but they're greatly overshadowed by the other two now.

I found a new scout rifle for me. I don't use hung jury anymore, I guess I'm Not Like The Others.

Edited by Swiftlock: 12/28/2015 10:09:58 AMVendor Hung Jury is the gold standard. I was lucky enough to find one with Quickdraw, Life Support, and Firefly, which has become my go-to PvE tool. Smite of Merain is also decent since it hits hard and punishes Taken enemies.

If you like hand cannons in PVE, try and grab a Finnala's Peril with Outlaw and Reactive Reload. The thing shreds, but make sure you have armor with increased HC ammo. Also, the raid HC's stats are pretty deceptive.

Hung Jury scout rifle (from Dead Orbit vendor). It is seriously brilliant. I know it isn't an AR or HC, but it is the best non-exotic primary that you can get with guaranteed good rolls, in my opinion.
