Are sword kills even possible?
I have never gotten a kill with a sword in crucible, how do you people do it? How am I supposed to complete my exotic sword bounty? And the sword kills with a crota mask?

If you do get ammo keep in mind voind beats void an solo burns through solar so watch out for the rockets an snipers xD chews through ammo

Salvage. Only 3 enemies leads to more 1v1 situations and less crossfire. If you're a hunter or warlock, use blink. When you do not have heavy, you can still get sword kills using the hilt. This is tougher, as it takes two hilt attacks to kill, and the second hilt swing takes double the time to go into motion. This is solved by throwing a grenade, preferably arcbolt or firebolt if you can, then finishing with one hilt swing. I managed to do it in 8 games with my warlock, without blink. I did it in 4 with my blinking hunter. Salvage is absolutely the way to go.

Edited by metallicaNLC: 11/4/2015 12:23:39 AMHilt only, max out your agility and use things like flashbang grenade on titan or blink on the other two classes, and maybe invis on hunter. Play control and hit people who aren't expecting you to be there or are already hurt, for kills. It should only take you a few matches at most unless you are just bad at it.

Use the hilt, you don't need ammo. Corner camp, it's pretty easy that way. Only thing you'll potentially die to is a Conspiracy Theory or a LiTC Eirene.

Run to a flag where the enemy likes to go, hide near it. Then once some idiot comes running by start mashing the slash button. Use block to, it'll help.

You could stand at a corner and look around it, then when someone comes out just kill them

Pick and choose your battles, learn to use the block function and use cover and corners to ambush

Equip sidearm, weaken the enemy and finish them off with the hilt. Heavy ammo is a waste of time and mental effort. If it's there, get it, if you're nowhere near it leave it.

1 ReplyI went on a 17 kill spree with a sword in rumble. The key is peeking around corners and taking advantage of 3rd person. Also try to avoid shotguns.

Just block until reload take a few swings its easy. Tommorow ill get my last sword and i was deeading it so i left it for ages before doing it as the titan is so hard to move at soeed, but i got 25 kills in 4 matches

Control/Zone Control (prefer the latter since people push for bases more, since, you know, they have to) Camp at A or C (whichever is yours) Have charged Sword ready, crouch behind a corner Lunge out and slash people as they come to take your base Profit! Now you're doing it the Dullahan Way.

Hunter- -bladedancer- go invisible, get sword kills -nightstalker- same as bladedancer Titan- -defender-pop bubble, wait for fools, get sword kills -sunbreaker-firebolt, get sword kills Warlock- -voidwalker-axion, get sword kills -sunsinger-same as sunbreaker [u]-All of this can be done with 0 sword "ammo"[/u] -There are many other ways, these are just the ways I did it. I literally ran in with the hilt and capitalized on people who's shields were low. I cared nothing about my score and just focused on trying to double hit people with the hilt. You don't need ammo for the kills. I got roughly 6 kills per match and completed that step within 5 games. It's easy if that sword kills are your focus.
