Tlaloc isnt as good as you think it is in PVP
THIS IS ABOUT PVP, I GET THAT ITS GOOD IN PVE
I am just going to put this out there
Tlaloc sucks guys.
TLDR: It's less good than Mida was before 2.0, and mida now. Mida was never T1 (might be now) therefore the gun is a solid T2 gun. Comparative to other [u]Y2[/u] scouts it's probably the best pvp scout, equal to Hung Jury with good rolls. However my main issue is that it pales in comparison to Mida.
It relys on having a super to be worse Mida, stat wise, it is only worse than my Suros Dis.
In pvp it is clearly meant to be a Mida archetype, but the gun is far worse than the mida. The Mida gives speed bonus and hair trigger at all times, and Tlaloc only has equal fire rate and handling with your super. Even then it doesnt handle nearly as well.
I was super hyped for this gun, but it let me down. It's not complete garbage, and does do well in pvp. It does 61 damage headshots and Mida does 55, so it still takes 4 headshots for a kill, but Mida does it faster, and lets you strafe better.
You can get a 2 headshot 2 bodyshot kill with Tlaloc, but 4 headhsots in a row with Mida is so easy though, because Mida has High Cal rounds with super high stagger as a hidden perk

I wouldn't even consider it over Mida if we're talking PvP, Mida has too much going for it, though the Tlaloc has the potential to be pretty deadly in the right hands. Moreover, I don't it's just the sunsinger that this gun clicks with. Voidwalkers who are careful with their supers and wait for key moments to launch them will benefit greatly from using the Tlaloc. Especially if they're using obsidian mind for those quick super regens. When the perk is active you basically have a Mida like fire rate with a Vision of Confluence punch and that's pretty amazing.

My thoughts on it were it's good for self res warlocks in pve so they get buffs when they're waiting to use it.

I think they had the sunsinger in mind with this one. You know holding on to your super and only using it if the team gets wiped. I guess hunters got lucky with their class specific weapons cause they go well with any of the 3 subclasses.

3 RepliesI don't believe it's intended to be a god tier PvP weapon. It's very good for PvE however. Plus if they never bring mida to yr2 it may be the next best thing for level enable PvP. I think exaggerating a bit.

I don't really use my super like that so having this weapon have its stats doubled because my super being charged, makes this gun so much fun to use. You just got to know how to use it. It's not a bad gun.

I havent found a weapon that I really enjoy using since TTK (2.0) still waiting to get zhallo and telesto, but so far I dont like anything, even touch of malice

Obviously you suck at using it I got 30 kills with a 5.0 kd with it yesterday. It's an amazing gun

It's made for self rez warlocks who hoard supers. I like it but prefer boolean Gemini or my raid scout.

1 ReplyIf you loved vision of confluence Tlaloc has the same base stats plus the boost when your super is full, I don't see why you are comparing it to mida when the only thing they have in common is the gun type. I wouldn't compare it to Touch of Malice or Jade, but I would compare those 2 to each other. Know what ik saying?
