From what I understand, you don't need to use 5 at once, the stacking/increased drop chance takes place if you DON'T get an engram, and you get 3 chances per coin...

7 RepliesThe proper way to use coins is one at a time. Using 5 at once will not increase your chance. If you use one and don't get an exotic then use another and so on. Then you have an increased chance. If you pop 5 at once you just waisted 4.
