No damage fall off? YES!
High default stability? YES!
Lots of bouncy bullets? FUN!
The new buff will mean that Hardlight will have the following advantages over other rifles.
-Maximum aim assist
-Nearly max handling for lighting fast aiming
-No damage falloff negating the new range nerf
-10% more damage that other rifles of its rate of fire tier due to aggressive ballistics
-lightning fast reloads
-its new super skip round may ending up allowing for some interesting things!
Edit: I think it's funny that some people can't understand that "Hardlight projectiles" are all bullets fired from Hardlight and that the gun will have no damage fall off period. Please reread the patch notes if you are a misinformed person who things the no damage fall off buff is only for ricocheted bullets.

Necrochasm will win.
-
I've been waiting for this gun to be buffed and now it's going to be I'm so happy. I say this because hardlight was my first ring exotic
-
Shut up. Why would you tell everyone
-
It's getting nerfed because you have to advertise it to everyone.

1 ReplyThe weapon balancing doesn't take effect until just before the taken king. Soooo it still sucks at the moment....
-
Fitted stock = amazing stability Field scout = glass half full ruined
-
We will probably get our answer tomorrow. If it's only after they have ricocheted they will tell us.
-
4 RepliesI think the range stat will come into play much like vestian dynasty. The damage fall off will not be a reduction of damage but when the bullet reaches its max range it will no longer do damage. I also think that's when it will stop bouncing. So more effective the more confined the engagement. Titan bubble + hardlight= win

Except the update hasn't gone live yet so it's not the best yet.....
-
I've always thought it was the coolest looking, sounding primary in the game...now it will wreck.
-
I thought it it meant that bullets that bounced off a substance would have no damage fall off. Idk.
-
That's what I got from the update ;)

Edited by YogieWhite: 7/23/2015 2:31:44 AMUniversal Remote is the only shotgun with a range perk that hasn't been nerfed so we'll probably see a lot more of people taking advantage of that in crucible.
-
Going to literally smash every Hard Light user I see with the Necrochasm.
-
When is this update actually going to happen though
-
1 ReplyAll I'm gunna say is glass half full
-
3 RepliesDoes no one understand that "damage falloff" and "range" are two different things? The update says NO DAMAGE FALLOFF, that doesn't have anything to do with the distance a bullet travels. So let's say a bullet can travel about 50ft before it dissipates, having no dmg falloff means that bullet will do the same amount of dmg at 5ft as it does at 50ft

2 RepliesIt's gonna be pretty cool. There are a few sweet skip round montages out there, way above my skill level.

I feel like that thing is just a lazer gun.
