My reasoning for this statement? Well I know because it's either one of two things: 1. That emblem is their biggest achievement in pvp,so they want everyone to see that they're "bad ass" 2. They just sat in a backpack coming along for a free-ride
In my eyes at-least, the ones I see "tryharding" use that emblem as a scare tactic for those who haven't gone flawless yet. I see through that facade of a "hey I'm flawless you better watch out!". I'm immune to that Jedi mind trickery!
(I wonder how many people read up to this point)
Since the carrying of people to the lighthouse began, the emblem became less of a sign of elitism and more of a sign of, "I got carried" or "I can't comprehend getting headshots because I final round to win".
TL;DR If I see that flawless emblem, I know it's an easy win.
EDIT: To clarify, when I say a person using the flawless emblem, I really mean full teams of 3-6 using the emblem exclusively.
EDIT 2: I don't mind you simply liking the emblem because of the look, this post addresses the people who think they're hot shit because of it.
A LOT of people skipping over edit 2 before they comment...
EDIT 3: a lot of the insulting comments I'm getting seem to be from the type of people I'm addressing. I laugh at everyone who thinks I've never gone flawless. I will not throw insults at you unless you do so to me. We clear?
Final Edit: look, before you post, consider reading the above edits. Okay? Cool. I don't give a flying -blam!-, wether you have it or not. Some people seem to think this is about me not wanting average players to have the emblem. This is far from reality. [u]This post gives my perspective on groups (as I specified in an earlier edit) being easy wins USUALLY, not always, in crucible because of certain situations on how some players have obtained them. I don't have it but if people have gone flawless (by not cheating) then they have earned it so well done to them.

I go flawless when I have time to play trials, which unfortunately isn't that much. I'm usually the one who is top of my team (my characters trials k/ds are around 1.4 ish). I agree with the OP, I've seen A LOT of players with the emblem, and they're only running a 0.5 ish kd per control match I'm on with them. I know we all have our off games, but there's a limit. Personally I wear the emblem cause I like the design. I'll wear it proudly knowing I can hold my own in trials.

It's an exotic emblem.........
-
Edited by LaMusca: 7/15/2015 6:46:43 AMI'll admit, I'm better in regular crucible than trials, as you can see by my stats. I use the emblem because I like it. Although, I usually do switch to another emblem during regular crucible.
-
I have only gotten flawless twice and by the third week I just did not want to deal with all the thorns/ lags

2 RepliesI don't get why people even make posts like this. Most of us here already know the community well enough to know that making a thread like this is gonna get you hate no matter how you try to word it. Not saying you can't voice your opinion, but you're really just pouring gasoline on a fire atm :3

2 RepliesNot everyone got carried
-
I just love the way it looks! That being said, I won't wear it in regular crucible - I seem to jinx myself by wearing it.
-
B sides me... GG

Look at my hunter last games. I found a trials team on the forums. One of them used the exotic emblem , watch his stats and you know what i mean with people are getting carried

Edited by BRAVEAMERICAN: 7/14/2015 3:57:16 PMWhen ever I Play with my friends, we usually dominate, even though wet throw jokes around the whole game like, NERF EVERYTHING! we just do well together. Same for trials, we understand how each other plays
-
I do better if I have equally as good ppl around that's why I sometimes just can't do anything in skirmish when I have level 20s and always do good with my trials team really trials is easy try winning a regular control match with a bunch of bums is a lot harder
-
I like "The Echo of Shattered Suns" it may just be a rare one that you buy from Holiday but it's nice :D
-
I do better in Trials than I do normal Crucible. Something about my team and how we operate works. And the games are usually less laggy for me because it involes less people. There are my "excuses" for doing average or worse in normal Crucible.

5 RepliesEdited by trickshot1002: 7/13/2015 12:29:48 PMI'm always #1 on our team? With at least a 1.5 k/d per match

2 RepliesI use sun of osiris. Looks better imo

7 RepliesI don't even use it anymore. I'm just rocking the Beta Emblem. That's right.
Look at my Elder stats. I'm a Beta. Peasants can't get this emblem if they didn't play Beta. Rektrektrektairhorn
Edited by Erijian: 7/14/2015 8:08:25 AMEh, I just like wearing the endgame emblems across all of my characters. Kellbreaker on my Warlock, Eye of Osiris on my Hunter, and Crota's End on my Titan whenever I decide to make one.
-
I'll admit, I've been carried flawless one time. I got a few kills and several assist, but overall I'm not great at pvp. I however do not wear the emblem. To address the point you are trying to make, I have played against full teams that all have the flawless emblem. They are usually easier to beat than the ones that use regular legendary emblems. So I would agree, it's mostly a scare tactic.

Oh hell yeah -blam!- that emblem I hate it
