It's frustrating how you all can't see that TLW needs a nerf
Edit: I dont suck with TLW. I am good with TLW. I almost always dominate in Crucible with TLW. TLW is my favorite weapon. I am not some butthurt kid, this is not one of those posts.
Edit 2: This has nothing to do with Xur. TLW has been this way for months. I'm only posting this now because Trials of Osiris is on the way.

Majority of you play PvE more then PvP. (And that's great I love PvE, I love PvP more.)
And most of the people who actually do play PvP suck at it. Those people who suck at it usually can't use TLW to it's full potential.
The fact that majority of you can't and never will understand how powerful TLW is in PvP bothers me, cause that means it might never get a nerf.

The minority, are the [b][u]skilled[/u][/b] players who play this game very competitively (and usually stomp everyone in the Crucible).
However, if two very [u][b]skilled/smart[/b][/u] players or teams happen to match up and one of those players/teams chooses to use the TLW, from my experience, if the opposing player/team chooses to use any other weapon other then TLW (or maybe a Thorn) that person or team is at a disadvantage. Ultimately, the person who is not using the TLW will eventually switch to it (or Thorn, but I personally think TLW is stronger then the Thorn. TLW has a faster time to kill).
This has happened to some people so many time that these "skilled/smart" players don't even feel the need to use any other weapons. They just go into the crucible using what they know to be the most reliable, and probably strongest weapon in the game.
We shouldn't be forced to use a certain weapons just to make it an even playing field.
[spoiler]If you weren't expected to get killed by TLW in .5 seconds over and over again in the Trials of Osiris, expect it now, because that is what will happen.[/spoiler]
[spoiler]Keep in mind that even though I used the word minority, that doesn't necessarily mean that this minority of players is a small amount of players. There are quiet a lot of Destiny players who are very good at Crucible and have adopted this type of play.[/spoiler]

It doesn't need a nerf. It's that autos need a buff as well as other guns. You start nerfing guns left and right will cause people use the guns that still do decent damage. The only reason it seems like it needs a nerf is because of the perks. Make all guns use generic perks or no perks and you will see less unbalanced game play. Most FPS games do not have a gun perk system.

1 ReplyHere's the fix instead. Completely separate PvP and PvE. So Nerfs to guns in PvP don't change the gun in PvE. And buffs in PvE don't unbalance PvP.

3 RepliesLOL u don't think they can see it? Every player who uses TLW knows it needs a nerf. However they say on the forums that it doesn't cause they don't want their crutch/easymode taken away. Thing kills as fast as a shotgun, but at much much MUCH longer ranges.

they need to nerf the range. Looking at the stats of the TLW doesn't match it's actual range. A gun like this should not kill me from across the map. If im playing shores of time and im at zone B you should not be able to hit me with this gun from zone C.

Bull . I've had this weapon for months, maxed out as well. No one complained about it before xur sold it recently. Quit complaining. I'll smoke you w any hand cannon I have. There are some players that are good because they are good and there are others that have good stats because they use TLW exclusively. It is a beast, I like using it but I prefer to use other stuff a lot of the time. Sadly, if it's a sweaty match you often can't compete without it or more accurately, you can't compete against it. It's no coincidence that so many top players use it.

TLW is my favourite gun to use against shotgun scrubs, I easily bait them out of a corner as they are running around the corner thinking they're going to get an easy kill with their shotgun, but I'm actually around 15 meters away popping 3 bullets in their face instead of within shotgun range. This is how I easily get sum of all tears in rumble.
