It's frustrating how you all can't see that TLW needs a nerf
Edit: I dont suck with TLW. I am good with TLW. I almost always dominate in Crucible with TLW. TLW is my favorite weapon. I am not some butthurt kid, this is not one of those posts.
Edit 2: This has nothing to do with Xur. TLW has been this way for months. I'm only posting this now because Trials of Osiris is on the way.

Majority of you play PvE more then PvP. (And that's great I love PvE, I love PvP more.)
And most of the people who actually do play PvP suck at it. Those people who suck at it usually can't use TLW to it's full potential.
The fact that majority of you can't and never will understand how powerful TLW is in PvP bothers me, cause that means it might never get a nerf.

The minority, are the [b][u]skilled[/u][/b] players who play this game very competitively (and usually stomp everyone in the Crucible).
However, if two very [u][b]skilled/smart[/b][/u] players or teams happen to match up and one of those players/teams chooses to use the TLW, from my experience, if the opposing player/team chooses to use any other weapon other then TLW (or maybe a Thorn) that person or team is at a disadvantage. Ultimately, the person who is not using the TLW will eventually switch to it (or Thorn, but I personally think TLW is stronger then the Thorn. TLW has a faster time to kill).
This has happened to some people so many time that these "skilled/smart" players don't even feel the need to use any other weapons. They just go into the crucible using what they know to be the most reliable, and probably strongest weapon in the game.
We shouldn't be forced to use a certain weapons just to make it an even playing field.
[spoiler]If you weren't expected to get killed by TLW in .5 seconds over and over again in the Trials of Osiris, expect it now, because that is what will happen.[/spoiler]
[spoiler]Keep in mind that even though I used the word minority, that doesn't necessarily mean that this minority of players is a small amount of players. There are quiet a lot of Destiny players who are very good at Crucible and have adopted this type of play.[/spoiler]

4 RepliesThe best players in crucible will learn to adapt to survive. If you come up against a team of last words, switch to a ranged weapon to keep them at bay. Simple and straight forward countermeasures. If you stopped moaning and spent more time enhancing tactical awareness then you would probably clean up in the Crucible.

4 RepliesI know Im not using it right, it takes me at least 4 shot to kill some one all the time, plus the freaking lag makes it hard to count since people die at least 2 seconds after Ive killed them. When I get killed by TLW its instantly, 2 shots in less than a second. So what I'm saying is, I feel you, but your ratio is not THAT good to call upon us with your wisdom, saying everyone else is wrong. Nerfs need to stop, Bungie has to level other weapons UP, so they can compete.

I disagree with nerfing in general. I just think it's a bad idea. I've never come across a player I couldn't kill if I tried hard enough. Just takes patience and time (no, that was not an extremely clever destiny joke.)

i play primarily pve because it isnt laggy and is more enjoyable, but when i do play pvp it is full of hand cannons and shotguns. both of these weapons need to be changed to be more balanced as they are far from realitistic. if i was going into war i would definitely be using my FN/FAL over my glock so it makes no sense that pistols fire like snipers and are super strong compared to a scout rifle or auto rifle. it feels like the vex has gotten a little better since the last time i played pvp but i did a game of inferno control yesterday and there was a team literally just running in circles around the map shotgunning everyone with felwinters lie. dont tell me i dont know, i played halo competitvely from halo 1 to halo 3 and scrimmed with pros in reach and halo 4 and this game is basically a glorified halo, so i know all about the game mechanics and bungies games. plus rumble needs to be limited to 1 person entry, it is supposed to be ffa but people just cheat the thorn bounty and run around in teams killing the top players basically every time, my k/d has dropped since i started playing a bunch of rumble for the grimoire and it is full of cheaters and bad kids who cant hold their own alone

the number of times i got killed by TLW is quite low.. more ANY shotguns, snipers, pulse, scouts and yes also handcannons.. the only thing i havent seen in AGES are fusion rifles..

I run with hawkmoon and literally have never had an issue with TLW. Yes it's powerful but if it kills me I note who has it and keep them at range. If they close the gap I blink shotgun them. TLW is only good at short/mid range. Never played against someone who just dominates me with it.

Im not constantly dying by tlw, and its not because im good or anything. I'd say theres once out of a few games that I will completely get mopped up by a person using tlw. I need to try this weapon, lol.

It already has impact lower than most hand cannons, range less than a shotgun, and if you use aggressive ballistics it's not like you're using it's insane fire rate if you were smart, plus there is a trick if you hip fire then aim, headshots do 111 damage

I have been outgunned by The Last Word a fair amount of times, but also, to be fair, I have also outgunned it using my Red Death. It depends on the scenarios, quite honestly.

It doesnt need a nerf it just need the bug on it's exotic perk that is working when you aim down the sights meanin it shouldn't give bonus dps but it still does

They'll nerf tlw right after they nerf your thorn burn perk. Its hopefully not gonna happen I hate nerf posts. Just learn to out gun them I hated thorn so I use tlw to counter, and the opposite if they're using tlw. Both take practice to get efficient kills. Just mix it up to your play style. Find what works, all the nerfs and complaining made crucible what it is now. So just post this on Facebook or something so no one catches wind of it ok thanks.

4 RepliesNo nerfs man...if your 300 yards away wearing the best military helmet we can offer and I shoot you in the head with 44 magnum or higher caliber...your dead...no respawn no damage counter...dead...one shot not 2 or 3...sooo no nerfs guys what they need is a better matchmaking system that actually pits you against people of similar skill...not this splattershot bs they have now...and when you get one timed by a sniper or thorned no tears necessary because you'd be sure its someone worth a damn...i get there needs to be better balance but they wont get that if they keep screwing up the guns...fix matchmaking thats why I don't play crucible
