Booster Caught
A friend and I were playing rumble and caught someone boosting for the Thorn bounty. I am unsure as to how to report this player other than from in-game, so I am posting here.
EDIT: No one showed up to stream :3 Soz
EDIT 2: A lot of people defending boosters. SMH

The thorn bounty wasn't too difficult for me because I had the Swordbreaker and praedyth's revenge but im not opposed to boosting.

They aren't really doing anything wrong. Is it lame, yes. But whatever, they want to sit in a corner and shoot each other, let them. Less people you have to worry about killing you. They aren't cheating, exploiting, cheesing or glitching. No harm, no foul.

Aaaand I don't care. I've got Thorn. Did the Cruicible part in bits over a few weeks as I suck at/don't like PVP. Check out the Recruitment forum. LFG for Xylor, help said player kill Xylor. Good. Let said player shotgun you in the face in the Cruicible. Bad? Nope. Not so much. Same end result. Its the other guys KD ratio. Why on earth should I care?

8 RepliesThere is no "boosting" in destiny. Yes the term applies to their actions but it does not affect anything in regards to matchmaking or end-game rewards. And even if it did match them with better crucible groups, they would soon lose any k/d gains when they are annihilated by the more skilled players. I don't care either way - my opinion is if it doesn't impact my enjoyment of playing then they can do whatever they want. By destiny matching randoms for crucible games they are in a way "boosting" every decent player by consistently putting poor players against them

Im gonna do this if I ever get the thorn bounty. I suck at pvp and I want the thorn. Sry but ill admit it. I only do pvp bounties once in a blue moon because of this. Of course ive gotten 2 missives with no option for thorn. So when I get the chance im taking the easy route you can -blam!- off.

11 RepliesThe day that Bungie decided that PvE players MUST compete in PvP in order to complete exotic weapon bounties is the day they basically gave this sort of behavior the green light. Believe me - if someone's boosting the Thorn bounty it's usually because they hate PvP or just plain aren't good at it. If they had any other choice, they'd take it.

There's a phone number i'll look up for victims of "boost witnessing" tht may help you cope with the stages of grief you are experiencing. good luck and thanks for reporting these evil abusers! Theres also an option to leave the game in the future so you don't have to witness such atrocities
