Like the movie Lucy where she could change her eye color, hair, the way she looks… etc. Wouldn't that be awesome.

We already do, just not all at once

When I love my head I can control where my brain is 100%
-
Yah that would be awesome:)
-
I actually wouldn't want to use 100%

3 RepliesSince the brunt of our brain is developed to remember things and regulate our bodies.... In order to control it 100%, you would have to take over for the automatic functions like remembering to make your heart beat and breathe (along with adjusting the tempo according to activity level), keeping track of your chemicals and hormones that regulate body functions, and maintain the links that store memories, including the ones attached to physical aspects (like muscle memory or olfactory recollection). You would probably mess up the balance of regulatory hormones and chemicals, get high off endorphins while forgetting to breathe or at least regulate your kidney function and liver function and die of blood poisoning from not filtering out your nitrogenous wastes. We do use 100% of our brains, it's just mostly used up by automatic processes that go on behind the scenes.

10 RepliesYou're welcome

4 RepliesI'd probably just cause myself to hallucinate and live in a neverending lucid dream. Who needs video games when your brain is its own Matrix?
-
Sorry to burst your bubble but, we already do, that myth was busted awhile ago, now we know we use 100% of our brains we just don't use it all at one time because that's called perfect multitasking.

Edited by Hansinator: 3/23/2015 2:20:12 PMYou would die because your brain would use too much energy. Yay science! Or you wouldn't be able to move.

12 RepliesBut what If our brain controlled 100% of us.
-
What would happen if you had common sense?
This thread wouldn't have existed.
-
We do control 100% of our brains.* That lie about 10% was perpetuated by a person who was speaking figuratively about how some people only use 10% of their brains (aka they're stupid) *
except for you
1 ReplyIf you were to control 100% of your brain, then the only thing new that you could do us stop your heart
I saw a fact on the internet and didn't bother to verify it or even google the works of scientists because the internet can't lie. time to make a pointless thread on it.
-op

You can. That fact was debunked a while ago

23 RepliesEdited by Cole: 3/8/2015 2:48:10 PMFor all you people out there who are unsure about this forum, humans technically only use about 96.4% of their brain at max. Scientists believe that if the rest of the brains capacity were to be used, we would die from multiple health problems in a matter of a second (heart attack, stroke, etc.)
-
You'd have to remember to pump blood and send the right signals to all of your muscles. You'd need to do a ton of involuntary functions and you'd probably die
-
Dude, what if...
-
We do use all of our brains already
