The title says it all.
it just means you got lucky
Edit: thanks for the many responses.
Just for the haters whose comments are always welcome here. I barely use launchers. Don't really think the ghorn will change my mind.
The whole point of this post is to stop being an elitist prick about having the ghorn. You don't need a full team of people with ghorn to raid. Just be cool and show the others the way.
Edit 2: It's a funny situation for me here today. Because I just "earned" the ghorn. I'm very cautious by using the word earned because I got carried by two peeps in the nightfall. Thanks to khande22 and spawndertsk who deserved it more than I do. How do I feel about this weapon. It's a fun weapon. But it's not the weapon that defines the player but the player himself. Although, I won't suddenly turn into an elitist prick who would only raid with gjallarhorn owners.
Carry on Guardians! The light is strong with you.

1 ReplySell it or Nerf it.

2 RepliesIt means your better than good, you might say that you're gooder. Got it, guud!

1 ReplyTrue. If I were to say I grinded forever until I got a Shredifier to drop before Hyperius was added, or got my relic in FFXIV before the patch introducing echo buffs when all you had was darklight gear and Titan was near impossible, no one would give 2 shits.. My point is, I thought that I cared about these in-game items, but now, a long time later and I have moved on, I just don't care anymore. So, I hope everyone who rags on people for not having a Gjallarhorn, stop, think and then never alienate people or be rude to others because of an in-game item, that you won't even care about a year from now.

2 RepliesNope, no luck involved when I bought it in week two. Then I had the ice breaker and the ghally was confined to the vault. It's handy to bring out now and again.
-
2 Replies"Gjallarhorn doesnt make you good." "...but I definitely earned mine carrying ppl, so obviously Im good." I can already see the elitism taking hold of your soul. Can't blame you...
-
Correct. It does NOT make you good. It makes you fawking awesome!
-
Nope, it just means I have a higher chance of being invited to raid.
-
It make it a little bit easier..
-
1 ReplyIt doesn't mean you're good, but that doesn't mean some people who have it are not good.
-
Yes.. it.. does..

2 RepliesYou sound like a hypocrite

9 RepliesHaving 3 gjallas to go with my 3 32s make me good :)

1 ReplyEdited by NECRO_TYPE1: 2/3/2015 7:47:08 PMIt doesn't make you good..... It makes you a legend. I've got it and love it for bosses. In all seriousness, I've played with some mediocre players with jellybelly you can't rely on them to put out dps when they're constantly getting destroyed.
-
2 RepliesI don't get it every damn launcher is op we'll in PVP but in pve basically any legendary or exotic launcher will do. Is ghorn perfect? Pretty solid launcher? Do I have it? Yes I got it from exotic chest in CE. Do I use it all the time? Nah I use my vex or ice breaker and sometimes my thorn
-
1 ReplyNot having one doesn't mean you're good either. What's your point?
-
1 ReplyI bought mine 2nd week of the game. Does that mean I'm skilled since I beat weeklies without any good guns or gear???
-
1 ReplyIt doesn't make you good, but it can be argued it makes you better than you previously were, because it is an extremely effective tool when used on bosses, or strong enemies. Doesn't make you better skill-wise, but it sure does increase efficiency.
-
2 RepliesActually having a ghorn makes me level 33. #jelly
-
1 ReplyTrue but it makes things easier which is why ppl prefer it over players without, do things quickly and efficiently This is not to say it isn't possible to do the same.thing without it, I'm just saying that's how most players see it and they aren't technically wrong
-
3 RepliesIt does mean that you're a safer bet than inviting a random without one
-
1 ReplyTrue but it makes us better than people like you who don't have one.

Having a Ghorn makes you the fire teams primary DPS'er
